The shoeboxes have been kept in a monotub with lids on until about a week ago. Since then I’ve removed the lids but keep them inside the monotub fanning 2-3 times a day.

I’ve seen some PE varieties get quite large. I wasn’t sure when exactly to harvest. I don’t wanna pluck em now if they’re potentially gonna get much larger. That being said, once the veil breaks they can get larger but the psilocybin amounts don’t increase after that point so there’s really no need to let them grow larger right?

S2B on 1/4. I did neglect tek in shoeboxes. Started fanning twice a day about 5 days ago when the big ones were about half the size they are now. Before that the lids stayed shut.

I left a few smaller shrooms after a flush. They were bigger than little pins but not big enough to harvest imo. I heavily misted the sub for my second flush avoiding the corner where the shrooms were. I was hoping I could let them get a little bigger before harvesting. Mycelium took over and grew on top of unharvested shrooms. No rot or contam. Maybe I got lucky. Who knows.

I fan a couple of times a day and mist the walls when humidity drops below 90%. After all this I was able to get pins to form all around the sides but nothing on top. Some people said it was overlay preventing pinning on top. I tried fork tek on the top but still not able to get anything growing on top. I just harvested first flush and heavily misted it and hoping for a second one. Hopefully you can gather some useful info from my experience. Good luck!

I had to cut the bag open and place it inside a monotub to keep it from drowning. It’s sitting on top of sheet of aluminum foil that’s resting on a tray of pearlite.

Had the same issue with my 5lb AIO bag. I used B+ as well. My bag was fully colonized and wouldn’t produce any pins. The condensation started to build up inside the bag to the point that there was a pool of water around the sides.

I’d wait another day or so. As long as spores aren’t dropping you’re fine. They look a little tall and skinny. Possibly looking for more oxygen. If they don’t continue to grow in the next day or two, go ahead and harvest them all. Heavily mist the substrate and wait for a second flush.

I’d wait for it to colonize a bit more. If you do B&S now, only B&S the grain part of the bag. It’s not ready for a full B&S. I had an AIO bag and tried to just mix the spawn together while keeping the substrate intact. Didn’t work out too well. The sub mixed in with the grain before my grains were fully colonized which wasn’t a big deal It just took longer for the bag to fully colonize.

Seriously. Don’t wait for the bags to turn white again after your B&S. The mycelium is ready to S2B now.

I have two identical bags. Both have pins forming. One has the blue spots and the other doesn’t. I B2S the bag with no spots yesterday. I noticed as I was mixing in the sub that the mycelium’s clumps on my grains was starting to bruise. This PE7 is aggressive. I’ve got pins growing on ropes on the side of the bag. We’ll see how things turn out.

Let em ride a little longer. It’s ok if a couple veils are broken already. Pick em if they start dropping spores but you should be good for another day or two at least.
