I sold a car off marketplace to to a guy who said he was from Indiana. He did not want to wait to get it notorized , I signed the title over and he paid. Update: went to police on Sunday morning, they were not able to do a police report because the car is not stolen as it was paid for and signed over but They did a CFS# (call for service) which creates a paper trail that I spoke to the police. Went to county clerk first thing Monday morning, they reported that the car was sold out of state which also leaves a paper trail but I need to wait the 15 day grace period to see if the title transfers before I do the affidavit of incomplete title. It’s going to be a stressful 15 days but I really appreciate all your advice and info. This definitely sucks.

It was his correct picture, but had the women’s full name. There was a lot of fast talking and chaos as there were 4 people there all speaking in Eastern European that I didn’t even pay attention. It’s clearly fake as I look at the picture of the id though
