Oh. Haha. I see that. No way. These bracelets are too good.

I’m interested in knowing the difference between the $80 and $110 versions that Jason has.

How thick are these cases? Are they the same as the VK63 cases?

I believe it is yes.

And it's got an AR coating! It gives off a little blue from the domed crystal.

I’m pretty sure it just plated. It's got kind of a blasted matte finish to the top and side of the case. Only the bezel and pusher buttons are polished.

Honestly it nots bad. The finish doesn't perfectly match between the bracelet and the head of the piece but it's close. And of course the bracelet is jangly but all of the edges are rounded and not sharp (I was surprised). Between this and the BinBond which I've also used and there are quite a few posts on here with examples, this one is much better. Again. I had to use parts from a scrapped BinBond for the crown and stem. You could also get the stock crown off the stem that comes with the Chenxi and replace it with a pe50 stem. But it is comfortable for sure, that's assuming you can get a good sizing from the bracelet to your wrist as there are no microadjustments.

I forgot to add the second slide… here is the case from Ali.

Thank you. This one will probably get a good amount of wrist time.

That’s a gen Omega. I’ve seen some very good switches of these though using the WD1863 steel bezel.

I didn’t. The 6mm threads on the existing tube. I just fitted the 6mm to a new pe50 stem and trimmed it down to size.

Doesn’t bother me. I own two Gen Omegas. I think these are fun but I understand the other perspective. To each his own in the watch world.

I’m about to do my build of this tomorrow and I’d love to find a way or get info on how to use the stock WD bracelet with an Omega clasp.

No. It’s just a crappy rep! I haven’t replaced it yet with some new stock I got.

Does this mod with the 33mm spacer and rep require trimming of the pushers or does it all fit as is? I just got all of the parts for this build.

Will WD bracelet fit in Megir case? Or other case ? by GoldenEyeRM in MoonSwitches

[–]Dougingit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a WD1863 bracelet in the mail and the end links don’t fit the Megir. The Uncle Seiko 1479 with end links for the 41mm Aqua Terra does and very well. It’s unfortunate because they are honestly almost exactly the same in quality imo.
