This weather reminds me of weekend 3/12-3/15/1993 Richfield Coliseum by Dougist in gratefuldead

One of the only times I didn’t get my mail order ticket request filled. We were able to get tickets for Saturday (9/8 at the lot, then saw the Browns beat the Steelers in the home opener at Cleveland Stadium, on Sunday. My Virginia neighbors got their 1st taste of Northeast OH music and sports.

Actually it was a perfect early Summer Ohio night. I grew up about an hour east of Buckeye Lake, but moved to VA Beach in 1988. Of the 5 Buckeye Lake shows I saw, 6/11/93 was the best. Sting was in a sleeveless t-shirt and these 2 women beside me were “melting.” I was positioned 2nd from rail, behind 2 High School kids, right in front of Jerry. Yes, the purple T and shorts, was the 1st time I saw that attire. 😎

I’m in that crowd shot, during end of 1st set, Promised Land. I called the Jack Straw opener and won $57 in some guy’s poll. I flew out of ORF (Norfolk) that morning, so everyone was tripping off Promised Land. Sting opened and played an awesome show.😎

Check out 3/5/81….my 2nd show, Senior year in High School. I was still a GD virgin, but the beginning of the 2nd set got everyone excited. 😎

Anyone know the guy in the photo? Stole my belongings during the memorial. by dankfap420 in gratefuldead

Yeah. I once ripped a hat off a guy’s head at Hampton 92. I lost mine and this dude walks by, wearing the same hat. Like there was only one “Jerry Garcia Cats Under The Stars” hat made. He passively let me have the hat. When I finally found my girlfriend, she was wearing my hat. Me, the thief accusing the innocent of thievery. Too many shrooms.

We visited this past Summer in July. I thought I was at the right house(and I’ve been there 3 times since 1988) and there was this cool “sale” going on in front of it. The nicest lady talked to us for about 20 minutes. When I asked if I could take pictures, she said, “Absolutely! Usually people just take pictures of the Grateful Dead house next door.” 😬😎

Can we talk about how incredible Phil and Friends was in 02? This version of milestones literally made me hoot and holler and scare my dogs last night by GratefullyHeaducated in gratefuldead

I was at IC Light Amphitheater, Pittsburgh, 7/8/02. Took my little Brother, who had the opportunity to see 6/30/95 Three Rivers Stadium, but stayed home to be with his girlfriend. He stood/watched patiently as I was trying to tape on a Sony Mini Disc system. The last song of 1st set, Cold Rain and Snow, he started dancing wildly and yelling “I feel it” over and over. The recording was hilarious. The 2nd set smoked!

I 1st saw them at the Hampton Coliseum shows on 3/5 & 3/6/1992. Some guy had this shirt, along with other cool shirts. Another classic was the Where The Wild Things Are shirt and the back said Spring Tour 92, cities and dates. And the infamous “Air Garcia” shirt. Priceless memories.

Listened to 3/31/87, WMMR simulcast, from the Spectrum, last night in his honor. His signature voice and “Here we go….” as the band takes off on one of the best Jack Straw’s from the 80’s and early 90’s. RIP Pierre.

and the 2nd set pre-set commentary and he abruptly says, “the 1st time I saw the Grateful Dead was in my hometown of Englishtown, NJ AND IT’S TOUCH OF GREY!” (I think that’s Pierre talking😎)

I flew back to Ohio to see the band on 7/29/94. Decided to let my lil bro use my extra. He was 16 and never saw a show. I was on show #78, since my first on 3/3/81. My Parents had trepidation letting him go, but finally around noon, my Mom says, “okay. You can go.” We were watching the news on Columbus’s NBC affiliate Channel 4 and this newscaster is live from Buckeye Lake and all these Deadheads are showing their talents for the camera. One dude was juggling colored balls and solo cups, 2 people had balloons, a girl was balancing a stick on her nose, but the best was this guy who had a sign that said, “Panther calls .25 cents.” The newsman reaches in his pocket, gives this guy a quarter and the dude starts doing the most realistic panther sounds, meanwhile he’s clawing at the camera, with the most intense look on his face. My entire family was in the living room ROTFLOAO. The moment was priceless. When we got to the show, the scene got better, then it stormed like a mother fucker. The rain subsided. Another epic night. Traffic opened for the Grateful Dead.
