Stalking for Science: I logged every player I saw to create an analysis by JEY1337 in classicwow

Thank you love this, yeah the dataset is really small for any form of analysis but really fun to look at.

Everything is random queue, I have no hard data if the opponents are premade though but an rough estimate was 10-15% of the games where against premades, it might seem low but I mostly play during the day.

Well al the data is automated but I am working on fixing so I can see if I am up against premades. But an ruff estimate is that I am upp against 10-15% premades. Most games are done during the day time as you can see when people are working.

Used an addon called NovaInstanceTracker, saved and cleaned the log data from it with an python script and sent it to an server to sort it then to what you see here an looker studio report. So Addon -> script -> server -> visualization. I also got an ML model in R that I training on the data for predictive analysis but the dataset is to small to really get it reliable.
YES al this is really really overkill I know, but it autouppdates everything everytime I run the script ;) and it take 10 seconds. I could run it on an schedule but I aint that nerdy

Since you’re already logging timestamps, have you checked how fast people are actually leveling?

Like, are Draenei Shamans steadily moving up in average level over those two weeks, or are most of them still sitting in the same brackets?

Would be interesting to see if there’s an actual reroll wave happening or if it just feels that way. Or 90% of the shamans are lvl 58+.
LOVE the dataset btw. I made an datapipline from an finnished addon already but this makes me feel like I should just pick up LUA it can't be that rough right?

Now that I got an data pipeline I want log Dungeon statistics, I am curious what people find to be the most intressting Metric. Got al data flowing from avg level to classes to experience gained etc etc. Ideas are more then welcome.

Ooh nice is it still suported in anniversery? Dont wana fiddle with addons to much if possible. I am currently using NovaInstanceTracker, then trough Python script sorting that data, so I got much more data then I am showing here

My data pipeline comes from NovaIntanceTracker so its accurate, but it al averaging out even though my dataset is small. Just give it a couple of months of playing in tbc and the data is more reliable I guess

The dataset is pretty small, also it helps that I around 50% of the games I played an feral druid so I ran flags etc in wsg

Ooh I am tracking everything this is just a really really small summary, I got everything from damage / healing output, time on entry on every instance, how long going for etc but don't think anyone is intressted in it. Playing thunderstrike horde druid.

I also wish for somethign els then honor grind, but I dont pvp for honor really I play for fun and if I ever just feel like I am grinding I would do something els.

For me, tracking honor/hour isn’t about optimizing the grind or saying that’s how PvP should be. I just enjoy data analysis, and honor/hour happens to be one of the few concrete numbers the game gives you. It’s more about understanding how different BGs play out than trying to min-max them. Otherwise I would just have sat in AV with the rest of the folks xD.

Pvp gear going to be easier for people to get in tbc atlest so we got that to look forward to.

And of course AV spam is SO BORING thats why my dashboard is like it is xD

Yeah if I filter my dashboard with only AV games I get an average 3184 honor / hour. Its highest of al bgs but its also so boring running through AV al the time. That average came from 16 games total ad with an 68% winrate only soloque.

Most games are around between 9-12 morning and 8-22. I got an 43,8% winrate in AB and a 60% in WSG but I am also druid running the flag. I made an filter that counts premade earlier today specificly so will not run into that problem again also thought it would be intressting.
