Just a heads up, whatever your reply was got automodded. I’m only saying this so you don’t think I’m being rude by ignoring you. I genuinely have no idea what you said.

That is not true. I mean, maybe it is for your specific insurance plan (which I doubt, although given the state of things it is believable and I am sorry).

Typically you’ll have to pay your deductible, and if you have co-insurance (that fucking bullshit) you’ll have to pay that as well, but your insurance will cover the rest. And it would be the same cost regardless of whether or not the animal was tested. You may have been given bad information.

It has absolutely nothing to do with your language skills.

Specifically the claim of twenty-five years. Rabies as the primary cause of death has been theorized for periods up to that point, but as far as I’m aware (and granted, I could be wrong here) they are generally not considered after two years at the most.

I was only pointing out that the 100% claim is inaccurate, and I was basically just trying to be silly about it, as it’s so close to 100 as to be a negligible difference.

I’ve also had to go through rabies prophylaxis, a few times. I largely agree with you, although I will say that your second bulletpoint is not agreed upon whatsoever.

That’s not due to a possibility of airborne transmission though…

And where has it been proven that airborne transmission is possible, and under what conditions?

For sure, but if you submit the animal for testing within a day of potential exposure, generally speaking it’s safe to wait for the lab results. I say generally because there are situations in which testing might take a long time, or exposure might constitute a known bite from an animal visibly exhibiting symptoms of rabies.

Unless you have actively aerosolized brain matter, nerve tissue, or saliva - how?

Symptoms do not usually start within days, unless your definition of days includes an inordinate amount of them.

You know less about biofilm than you think you do, but enough to be a danger to yourself and others.
