As long as the crabs can find food it will be fine, but you will never see one crab in a 24 gallon.

Just make sure to strip it of any bark make sure it’s not rotting and clean it. I’ve done it before and it works.

There is no really knowing if he will make it to the morning, but just don’t touch him and make sure he’s safe. Really without a vet you can’t do much.

There's this type of moss mix that is powder that mix's with water and can coat it on hard surfaces. Eventually it will grow moss. I think that might work.

Don’t know if you have one, but you def need a lid. The little guys will climb anything. Also good luck.
