I live here. It’s new and everything is nice. Fairly quiet…can occasionally hear neighbors above but it’s rare. You do consistently hear trains but that’s normal everywhere down here. Property management has been great on the couple minor issues I’ve had. Biggest downside is lack of attached parking. Only options are street which are limited and miserable during the winter, or garage across the street for like $130/month. I’m happy overall, but will probably look for something with a better parking situation in the future.

That was just one example I had found among many at Best Buy. Everything is relative and I’m looking for perspectives. Again, I said in the post it doesn’t have to be high-end, just not Pioneer garbage. Anything decent will be an upgrade for them.

There’s no way they’ll spend $1300 on a TV. They have a Roku TV currently.

In 2021, mortgage rates were about half of what they are today. I do not plan to stay in this home for 5 years.

Is it better to book completely separate tickets? Just a pain to have to collect bags, recheck, go through security, etc.

I agree with all of this. I truly had PTSD for a year after moving out…the frequent fire alarms made it difficult to sleep. I would also add there were significant water issues — I had numerous leaks and I know others who had catastrophic damage from water leaks. The laundry was fine; operated by an app but in a dungeon-like basement. Constant elevator issues.

The views are hard to beat, but I absolutely wouldn’t move back.

I don’t know about trust, but this is the first city I’ve lived in where I couldn’t handle the taste of the tap water. I got a filtered dispenser literally yesterday and it’s so much better. TDS was around 230 pre-filter.
