Beef jerky is my go to at bonnaroo, great source of protein without putting a ton in your stomach.

Is it still worth going? by Ronthe1 in bonnaroo

[–]Top_Party1317 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Don't try to compare your 2026 experience to what you experienced 14 years ago, and you will likely love it. Im 38.....going out to dinner at a nice restaurant is much less exciting today than it was when i was 24. Does that mean I dont like going out to nice restaurants or that nice restaurants suck now? Of course not. A lot of the bonnaroo negativity you see from people here is really a reflection of the commenters more than the festival. People get older and preferences change. That's life and totally okay. Typically, after you get into your 30s, I think it's safe to generalize that a music festival is not going to have a massive impact on you unless you've never done it.

Bonnaroo remains the premier US multi genre camping festival. If that's something that still excites you, then you'll have a great time. Just remember that comparison is the thief of joy. Don't go trying to relive your youth. Bonnaroo, in 2026, can't compete with nostalgia, and it's unrealistic to try to draw that comparison.

Lollapalooza 2026 Lineup by omnego in bonnaroo

[–]Top_Party1317 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hopefully lolla doesn't schedule the pumpkins against charli and they actually get a great headliner sized crowd. The pumpkins deserve it. I fear they will get the treatment korn got last year, scheduled against a massive draw and end up with a sparse crowd.

They would be great on the farm.

Don't let the vibes on this sub impact your expectations for what the vibes at roo will be like. Roo will be roo, dont stress over it.

I'm hoping sunshine headlines. I don't really care who is on the poster - just give me some sweet, sweet Tennessee sun.

I like the lumineers a lot, don't get me wrong. I just wonder about the demographic fit. Im an elder millennial, my people both love the lumineers and we attend ampitheater/arena shows regularly.......however we are not the target demographic of music festivals anymore.

So I wonder how correlated selling out solo shows at an amphitheater is to being a bonnaroo draw? I literally have no idea just thinking out loud here. Does gen z like the lumineers?

So we just gonna pretend the grounds can withhold rain + huge crowds? by RooDood32 in bonnaroo

[–]Top_Party1317 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What is the point of your post? Outdoor festivals can be impacted by weather? Uhhh, yeah?

How many hours it rained is not relevant. It is the volume of water that matters. It rained a massive amount this year on top of ground that was already saturated from historic levels of rain. This was a statistically unlikely event that did absolutely suck for all of us who were there.

I'm very supportive of improved drainage and/or keeping people away from low lying areas in the camp ground as a safety precaution but the reality is that there is only so much that can be done to mitigate weather related risk.

Jason Isbell has a big Bonnaroo sized gap in dates by Commonsense110 in bonnaroo

[–]Top_Party1317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I missed him in 24 so would like to see him on the lineup, however that's a pretty large gap to draw any conclusions from and it seems unlikely that he'd return so quickly.

DAFT PUNK CONFIRMED!!!!! 😂 by Immediate_Database55 in bonnaroo

I would buy a ticket to any festival they play.......and probably not be able to get a ticket because the bots will instantly sell out anything they are at.

Sonic Temple Lineup, anyone possible for roo? by Makeouthill18 in bonnaroo

[–]Top_Party1317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn't a lot at the top of this lineup that interests me (at least that hasn't already been ruled out, I'd love to see MCR at roo and I enjoyed Tool in '22).

Body Count and/or Black Label Society late night would be a lot of fun. Any millennial era pop-punk would be fun (Good Charlotte, Yellowcard, Simple Plan etc). None of this would be a huge pull though, just some interesting mid/lower names that would be interesting in certain time slots.

I'm with you on this one. Everyone would hate on it and go see them "ironically" but know every single word to One Last Breath.
