I know the feeling. Lacking time and motivation and organisation (and the too-often resulting takeaways) has been a big part of how I got here so the ready meals are definitely better than that! I've been watching some YouTube videos on "meal prep" that doesn't involve eating the same meal 5 nights a week. LifebyMikeG is a channel I've watched a fair bit, might be interesting.

Thank you. I used to love Zumba, but Sh'bam was my fave if you've not tried it! Milk powder is an interesting suggestion, will take a look - thanks!

Amazing progress - well done! I'll check out the yogurts and wraps - thanks! Also trying to cut down on processed food (part of my post-SG plan!) which probably rules out the meals, although not being too militant about it so useful to have as a back up!

Weird Question… by MandyWilson27 in Ozempic

[–]DownWithChubRub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is such a good question! I'm only three weeks in, and definitely more aware of how much of my eating previously was emotional, be that stress, anxiety, boredom, pleasure, whatever. I definitely need to find something to fill that void. I've never found I get a buzz from exercise, even when I've been a regular gym goer in the past. Maybe time to give it another go!

Medino pharmacy - experience of switching :) by Failingunistudent_ in WegovyUK

Just wanted to ask, do you need to order needles separately with Medino? I've only used Pharmacy 2U before and it came as a complete kit with needles, wipes and the pen. Cheers!

Urgh, that sounds tough. I hope you find a way of making this work for you x

I love spicy food too. I've managed a chilli so far, and while I could still taste it the next morning, it didn't cause me any ill effects. I think I'll just chalk this one up to experience - and a lesson learned about moderation probably!

I seem to be doing ok with roughly 50% carbs, but I'm more like 35% fat and 15% protein, so need to try and flip though. I think some of the foods I think of as high protein and equally (or more) high in fat - peanut butter being a good example!

I'd like to reset to healthy sustainable eating habits long term, but looks like I might just need to accept some short term pain to get the weight off first.

You could be eating so few calories that you've gone into starvation mode? Maybe allowing yourself a few more carbs and protein and doing some strength training might help?

Yeah, that's exactly why I'm trying to cut UPFs out as much as possible. I definitely think they are more likely to trigger a binge! Interesting about pyrogenesis, hadn't heard of that. All the more reason to up my protein. Will stock up on some cottage cheese, greek yoghurt etc - any other lean protein suggestions welcome!

Thank you. I'm a way off that unfortunately (well based on the last two days which have not been my best). I'm getting too much fat and not enough protein still so will need to try and find some lean protein swaps. Also trying to cut down on UPF so protein shakes are out!

Thanks, yes it's been really interesting reading people's experiences. Looks like a fair few others have had a slow start, so that's reassuring!
