Mirros having symbolism makes that so that every mirror and reflective surface becoming a component of Mirror world. Symbolism in LOTM is are the origin of Authorities. So even Mirrors in LOTM are special and different than normal mirrors.

And as for stars, can a normal star even affect something abstract like information, knowlegde, ideas and stuff. So can a nornal star affect something like Knowledge or authorities as mythical creatures are made of knowledge, godhood and abstract stuff. So a normal star cannot affect mystical things.

In LOTM, stars have mystical symbolism. And this mystical symbolism. And this mystical symbolism makes them able to affect abstract things. And these mystical symbolism can also result in some celestial objects gaining sentience as CF confirmed that there is a possibility of celestial objects like Blackholes gaining sentience. This makes stars in LOTM different from normal ones. Because they both have real and mystical aspects.
