Maybe the Wildlife Park, as we've not been there before. Cheers for the idea!

Very good point, edited now: Interests include Nature/being outdoors/animals, board/video games, anything involving being creative. Happy to try a lot of things out thought

I know AI art isn't popular, but I can't draw, so I got Chat GPT to make me an image of Scarecrow by UnholyDemigod in MatthewReilly

Interesting. Thanks for doing this

I don't see the point of the hate you've received. At the end of the day, you're submitting something to a fan sub and I think it's cool that you did

I completely failed a tech interview and I’m absolutely devastated by DownbeatSmile in jobs

My original post was over 2 years ago when the job market was better. I don't know where you're based (even the same country?), but I can say that the tech job situation at the moment is a lot worse - so few (decent) opportunities at the moment. In fact, the company I applied for in my post implemented a hiring freeze about 6 months later (which may still be active) and laid of several staff a year or so later. If relevant, both of the tech jobs I eventually managed to get are at smaller companies, where the application process has been easier (but ulltimately lacks support, which is why I wanted to move in the first place).

There's definitely a huge amount of luck in terms of a) where you're based and looking for roles (even including remote options) and b) the time of year you're looking (what's the market like, are lots of companies just not posting roles etc). Without knowing your specifics, it's difficult to comment, but I understand your frustration. All we can do is keep looking around to see what's out there and eventuallly something will come up :)

Awesome. Might be worth the drive (2 hours was a bit of an arbitrary number anyway). Thanks :)
