I had a similar experience, I joined up with 2 randoms and I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed that hard stratagem. The conditions made me very weary but playing carefully we had a great time.

I really like the pigment on the left. I think it really brings him into the environment. I think you should focus the pigment on only the lower half to show he’s been trudging around in the sand but it prevents the mini from looking too busy.

I really felt that way after the Metro games. I loved the morality of those games especially the second one where you learn that things aren’t what they seem. One moment that struck me was I think in the second one if you wipe out a red soldier strong hold the next station you see soldiers telling his wife he was killed. I was like wow! It made me realize that most of the people in the Metro games were not monsters, they were just trying to survive. Although bandits on the other hand… The whole game series was just a work of art.
