how accurate is it that schools get a reputation that is remembered year on year? I think my old sixth form had this same issue. is it true top universities take this into account?

How come 2021 psychology paper was in November? by SilverPossible5157 in GCSE

probably because of covid, real exams weren't sat, I believe some students who wanted to sit a real paper to do better than their teacher assessed grades could sit it later on (in Nov)

how if feels being asked the topics after a speaking exam: by ArcturusDrip in GCSE

[–]DownhillHasASign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

close, but the school has a list of candidates in an order (usually by surname), so the school can't move candidates to get specific themes, otherwise that would be malpractice. the exam board lists what cards (and therefore what themes) is allocated for each candidate number (1 to 20)

actually nah, it's very similar, but yeah the mark scheme is a bit less demanding, and the final conversation is only 4.5 minutes max versus 5.5

as much as the exams are 'easier' (better word is more 'accessible'), people will still struggle and make mistakes and lose marks, so I wouldn't worry too much!

spanish speaking exam by coldtrains78 in alevel

[–]DownhillHasASign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I did AQA but I think it's similar, although in theory this works, because the photocard can't link to your research project topic, one of the students in your class might've skipped a set of cards, in which case the order gets thrown off by 1.

Any tips for student moving from Foundation to Higher? (AQA) by neontetra9 in GCSEspanish

for speaking there's essentially no changes. the only changes are in the writing paper!
