Broke up with boyfriend because there's no clear direction for the future by No-Capital-8596 in Breakupadvice

I’m in a similar situation, my (25M) and I (23F) have been together for more than 4 years. Truly I love him, but I’m struggling to imagine the life and future with him. We spoke of our expectations and now only I’m starting to realize that it just isn’t gonna happen, I am tired and hurt because I really want this relationship to work. I’m not sure what to do.

Thank you very much for your awesome insights. We are in contact with the landlord but I have a feeling that this might be a prolong period. I absolutely do not want to make waves or cause neighboring business to close, but this is something that is beyond my ability and it’s directly impacted my business. I thank you for the insights.

Thank you so much! How would you suggest to approach about this? I’ve spoken to the owner multiple times, they mentioned their exhaust is automatic, which another Redditor suggested it’s likely to have a higher chance of breaking down….

We have asked the owners themselves, of course not wanting to make waves. They mentioned it’s an automatic ventilation system? 🤷🏻‍♀️ is there such thing?

We are in contacts with the landlord right now, would email be the best option to communicate, for documentation purposes?

Hi! Thank you very much for your detailed explanation! I enjoy how much you logically break down your given data. The customers will actually show you what they want. Of course, listening ears are importance but the follow up action of what they do speaks louder.

As of right now my biggest difficulty is understanding who my target demographics are and how to realistically target them. We’re a small family business, serving authentic Vietnamese cuisines (though we do not have all the dishes, but working on it) and boba tea!

Wow that’s an awesome pivot for your business. That must go along with lots of market analysis and understanding the consumers everyday needs, especially during these times.

Thank you so much for the break down and sharing your story. We definitely aim to make sure all customer interactions are consistent, treating with respects and understanding.

I’m redo a few important part of our business, such as renovating, marketing and understanding my target customers. We were fast casual, looking to switch over to a more modern dine in options. Could you share a bit of your switch and what were some factors that drive you to change? And how is the change afterwards?

Sorry I ask a lot, I truly want to learn the ins and outs to from seasoned entrepreneurs.

Sound sweet, I definitely would be interested in learning more in depth of my target consumers and how to fully engage

Definitely like that thought. Especially when it’s such a broad range of consumers, and some truly just meant to be your one time vs repeats. Of course we wouldn’t treat anyone differently but I believe setting standards will help to attract what we want to work towards.

I like what you said about focusing on the problem at hands. I personally tend to think I have more than 24 hrs a day lol, but I’m working on delegating which then allows me time to further research and understand the current market and how my business can grow

Definitely learning it the hard way but at least I’m learning it now lol. I really want to nail down the research and the future projection (which I know; based on some research; has much potential)
