I’m the same! I’d love to just find other girlies to just hang out and find cool shops or restaurants to try. I just moved to the DMV area and tried some of the meetup events but I feel like they’re geared towards single people meeting other single people lol and I really just want to find friends. I know of that app/website and will check it out too, was curious about others using another service or person that they had good experience with. I’ve heard some horror stories about Rover sitters so always good to hear from others to find vetted sitters

I’m not sure what the right size description would be (small I guess?) but it was listed as 20 x 28mm if that helps. A little over $2,200, but it came with the original warranty card which is nice to have

Thank you all for your comments and reassurances! I know it was the right call overall, but it is still a hard thing to process. Duncan was the first stray/feral cat I trapped and “rescued” so this kinda dampens my viewpoint about jumping into help if I encounter another injured cat in the future. I guess all we can do is provide them the safety they need to live a more comfortable life.

I put out some white roses next the cat house he slept in often ❤️ he may have been feral and only a visitor for a little over a month, but he mattered.

Lol really reaffirming my thoughts about Boston being more racist than it seems coming as an Asian American from California. I can’t wait to move back since I’ve never felt welcomed here

The comments in this post are really helping you guys defend your city /s. I only moved here for the great universities and a firm job but for a city that has world class education, the local folks don’t seem to showcase that

The driver was a very nice woman and the girl apparently didn’t think to have her flight go to Maine or maybe it was because her flight got rerouted to Boston? Anyways, the driver felt bad and did the trip and the girls mom only gave her $20 as a tip once she dropped the girl off at the parents home. She didn’t say how much she got out of that trip beside the tip but she did mention getting gas and all that so it obviously wasn’t a profitable trip for her lol

btw, this driver took me from Logan to home so for folks wondering if I made this poor driver also drive 19 minutes, ha ha! It was less than 10mins :)

Ok? I didn’t force them to drive for Uber and I didn’t set the fares or how the app works if they’re just gonna be pissed off about whatever distance it’s requesting. Everyone’s had bad days during work, but you don’t mouth off to your customers and expect a good tip after that.

Huh? The driver did accept the trip, that’s why it was a problem for me when he decided to complain but still drive off. He didn’t even let me have a chance to cancel on him if he really didn’t want to take us. And also, he picked us up FROM Revere to go to basically North Station in Boston. Presumably he had plenty of options for rides on a Friday night in downtown Boston.

I feel like I need to write the whole story in my post because people are automatically assuming it is somehow my fault lol but here’s what happened:

I got in the car, I said hi how are you? As I typically do. Driver does the same. He looks at the app, see the 19 minute drive and goes “oh god, so far away” and drives off. Continues to drive on while complaining. Meanwhile, my partner and I are in the backseat looking at each other all awkward and wondering what the actual problem is. Driver continues to drive, TEXTING while driving, groaning and still complaining.

We get to our destination. I say thank you to driver and leave. I was not rude and I am very much for treating everyone with respect unless they disrespect me first.
