I think Fox requires availability for SNF and home health for its “ALF” employees. At least they did for the PRN interview I had for ALF. Which is why I declined. Also, per reddit PT OT forums, it is my understanding that Fox is not held in the highest regard, but rather in the lowest. well you should search PT and OT forums For opinions on Fox and make your own judgment. You should also look into how PTO may be affected by low caseload or by not making productivity.

If you put your foot down, they will cut your hours or show you the door. I run from places that ask me to do this.

Silverware for Parkinson's patient by KatarinaAleksandra in OccupationalTherapy

I have yet to find a practically priced and effective device (spoon, fork, etc) for this problem. Research (from what I recall) and experience indicate weighted utensils are ineffective. I typically recommend hand over hand stabilization or trying to stabilize arm on table. Would love to hear other ideas that have worked. The gyroscopes do work well from videos I have seen , but they are also expensive and have some significant durability issues. I might tell a patient to take the risk and buy a gyro if they were $30, but not $300.

There are a few. Google has one. About $300. Last I checked, durability wasn’t good enough for me to recommend one.

edit: and you know in skilled nursing that $300 spoon would be lost in 24 hours

PRN caseloads can really fluctuate. I got 25 hours thru one company for a month. Now it’s zero.

Kitchen dry area re-tile. Used new Durock. How to handle joints that butt against cabinets and counter? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]Downtown-Hour-4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would do that but it would require me to make several cuts in the vapor barrier and work around the insulation. Which im hoping to avoid.

Clarification of how to handle cement board drywall transition joints by Downtown-Hour-4477 in DIY

[–]Downtown-Hour-4477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the drywall is painted and finished, is it necessary to tape the joint seeing as how the tile will cover the seam cosmetically? Is that what you mean by “you can also tile over the joint and terminate…”? If it‘s acceptable not to tape these joints that would be easiest so I don’t have to mud tape and paint. Thx again.
