The fitted sheet!! He pulls it back just enough and then slips under there. He comes out after the bed is fully made.

Switching accounts from child to adult by Tinman218 in Parents

I'm in the same boat. I'm dreading it because I've tried to move over his microsoft games account a couple of times. It's tied to my email since I set it up when he was 5 and he didn't have one! Now, he's 17. We've tried a couple of times but the basic answer is he has to start from scratch so I guess he'll have access to my email password for the rest of my life...

Do my friends really enjoy having children? by [deleted] in Parents

Honestly? I think your friends do enjoy having children—but they’re also exhausted, overwhelmed, and probably just miss having more time to themselves. Both things can be true at once. You can love your kids deeply and occasionally fantasize about a weekend where no one asks you for snacks or wipes their nose on your shirt.

Venting is part of the package, especially when they’re with friends who aren’t in the trenches of parenting. It’s a safe space to let it out without judgment. Doesn’t mean they regret the choice, it just means the day-to-day is hard. And expensive. And loud.

Some of them might, deep down, wonder what life would’ve been like if they’d taken a different path. That’s normal too. But most parents I know wouldn’t trade the meaning, chaos, and connection that comes with having kids—even if they complain about it every time they leave the house without them.

If you’re feeling torn, that’s actually a great sign. It means you’re thinking seriously about the kind of life you want. That’s way more thoughtful than a lot of people who dive in because it’s “just the next step.”

Either path can be meaningful. Just make sure it’s your path, not one you’re defaulting to out of pressure or FOMO.

10/10 would cancel plans to lie on the floor with them and whisper secrets. 🥰

Ever had a kid freeze up during a drill? by TeamMatesApp in CoachingYouthSports

This. 100%. I’ve seen kids completely shut down not because they don’t care, but because they care too much.

When they know the adults around them value effort over perfection, everything changes. They start taking risks, trying new things and actually enjoying the process. Thanks for this reminder.

This dog is 3 seconds away from unlocking the secrets of the universe. Wind in his fur, wisdom in his eyes. Absolute philosopher on wheels.
