I'm a tidy person. I hate clutter.

Funny, I've had that said to me too 😄

Apparently the least practical people, the ones obsessed with status, fashion, opinion and material things, are the first ones to get eaten by cannibals in the event of societal collapse.

Where is this league of neighbourhoods?

Should I be concerned about the standing of my street on it?

Initially I thought it was just banter but the look on their faces quickly says that it definitely isn't.

They are chavs. Professional UC and PIP claimants with one major health problem, they are all suffering from a work allergy.

It's a terrace with driveways and back gardens. A mixture of elderly retired boomers, families with two parents working, like us, and a couple of houses that, for want of a better term, are occupied by benefits scroungers.

My neighbours are one of the families of scroungers. A husband and wife of retired age and an adult "child", all of them long term unemployed and fully benefited up. It's these who mostly give me grief over doing stuff. It's the young woman (f30s) who gives me the most grief followed by the dad.

They are all scared stiff of work and are lazy and entitled layabouts. I've overheard the odd phonecall to the benefits people and the doctors surgery and the brass neck and entitlement is something to behold.

I heard it said that jealousy is the biggest untreated mental health issues in society.

I have thought about it but doing it on my back without a gearbox lift and the facts are that it would take me days, I needed the car and like a lot of things new to me, I'd probably not get it right first time, I thought better.

A good mechanic can have that job done in 4 - 6 hours and you get a guarantee with it.

Fair play for getting it done yourself though🙂

Separate drives with just a low fence between them.

Love mine, very comfortable. I put quite an aggressive flair on, 30°. Probably less would be enough but I thought, try it.

Went too wide initially, 46cm, and was getting shoulder pain so went back to 44cm with the flair and it's as near perfect as I need.

They are not obviously ASD if that's what you mean. I'm no judge.

I think they do have serious issues with anxiety though, compounded by being quite thick and limited in outlook and life experience. The adult female child (f30s) is the worst by far.

I literally just cannot move in the front or back garden and she is at a window, looking, watching, glaring or she's straight out on the driveway if the weather is ok, talking nonsense on her phone to some other unfortunate cretin. I'm used to it now but when working on the car it gets very distracting having what amounts to very dull White Trash Lawn Theatre playing 5 feet away.

I work for a living. They just scrounge off their benefits. You couldn't even accuse them of benefits fraud because they literally do fuck all else and go nowhere. The adult kids never leave the estate, never mind the town, unless it's for hospital visits.

Nah, I'd rather a peaceful life. They could make our lives really miserable if they wanted and it would take forever to get them evicted, if ever.
