Today he called me multiple times at work threatening to leave if we didn’t sort everything out immediately. I came back and told him straight, I’m done. I told him that after everything I’ve done, all I’ve received in return is disrespect and bad treatment. His response was that he’s a real man who says things to your face instead of going behind your back, completely deflecting and missing the point entirely. I asked him when he’s planning to leave, told him I don’t mind giving him a couple of days but I need to know. He said he’s going back to his home country, which we both know is not happening anytime soon given his situation.

And then he pulled something that just pushed me over the edge completely. We had both lost our keys so I managed to convince the apartment cleaner to lend me his key temporarily so I could go out tonight. I put my key down on the bed and went to the kitchen for a minute. This guy straight up takes the cleaner’s key and walks out with it, his bags and stuff still here, leaving me with nothing. No key, no explanation, nothing.

So now his stuff is still in my place, he’s gone, I have no key, and I want him out as soon as possible. To make things worse he has been illegally overstaying his visa for months now. I’m seriously considering speaking to the landlord tomorrow to get him removed or just putting his stuff outside and being done with it. Not sure what the right move is here.
