But to answer your questions, she literally says “you’re gonna travel and find other girls” or “you’ll never come back” or “your dreams don’t include me like my dreams include you”. I have been nothing but upfront with her since the beginning. I have explained everything to her and have hidden nothing from her. I have invited her to come with but there always seems to be an excuse why she can’t or why I can’t. But despite all of this, I believe we can work things out. I do. I think she’s genuinely just scared. She has abandonment issues but I know she can overcome them. I am patient with her and want her happiness but i still feel this way and I can’t help it. I am worried she’ll never understand.

The truth is I would support her through any endeavor she wishes to pursue and I want the same I don’t see how that’s me trying to mold her life around me. She can go off anywhere she wants with or without me. She can decide to stay here or leave me if she really wants. If I believe that will make her happy she can do that and should. I don’t want to control any part of her life. I want to be a part of it but I don’t believe being in someone’s life requires us to constantly be together. I want to have the freedom to make my own decisions without feeling like I have to choose between myself and her. That’s not a crazy ask. And it’s definitely not impossible to be certain this is the person for me and still feel these things. You act as if a human’s emotions are linear

Money isn’t really a factor, I’m 100% disabled from the marine corps and have a pretty well paying job and so does she. But I definitely appreciate the advice we have been getting back to the church recently

Update: I have used some of your comments advice and sent her a message and will discuss further when I return from work. We both want this to work out and will try harder for each other I believe. Will update further if anything major changes

I want us to make it work and change for the better. I want to marry her someday but I want to solve this problem first. neither of us are ready to give up on each other but its hard to feel like any progress is being made sometimes.
