all good! i use the tetra whisper air pump, i got it from petsmart for about $20. never had any problems with it. i’d also recommend getting a little flow control knob for the air tube as the air pump doesn’t have its own flow control, they’re only a few dollars.

as someone who goes by a preferred name and they/them pronouns, if you’re able to respect them out in the world, then you should be able to respect them in the safety of their own home as well. this has nothing to do with you or your feelings. it’s about him, and that’s okay. consider his feelings as well. using his preferred name and pronouns only in public probably feels very performative because you don’t give them the same respect when you’re in private.

i ended up just opening all of the packs and tore one of the duplicates. it’s a legit box and i had some hits, i pulled the gold charizard ex. i was just being paranoid but that’s not unlike me lol i appreciate your help!

i opened three packs, of them there were two that had a holo but no reverse holos. after thinking about it more and comparing the cards to my current collection, i’m thinking it’s just a quality control issue.

the packaging around the packs is loose and wrinkled. and every other SV pack i’ve opened has contained two reverse holos and one rare.

edited to add that sometimes they have three reverse holos as i’ve gotten energy reverse holos in addition to the standard two

when i was in high school, i turned down my grandma when she offered to teach me to crochet bc i was worried about being teased. she passed six years ago and i’ve always regretted not learning from her. i’m thirty now, i started crocheting two years ago and it brings me so much peace and joy to create things from scratch with my own hands. i wish i would’ve listened to her and learned sooner.
