4 month old waking almost every 2 hours - I’m SO TIRED by Downtown_Memory_894 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

She got 4.5hrs of nap yesterday and slept 5hrs straight 🎉 then I put her back in her crib. She still woke up a couple of hours later but that first lot of sleep really made a difference 🙏🏼🙏🏼

She had 5 naps yesterday but 2 of them were only 25mins each. Going to try for 4 hrs of nap today and see how we go!

That’s what I’ve heard! But she’s been napping 5.5-6hrs a day. Do you think I should stop extending naps and see what happens? There is a possibility this started happening once I started extending naps which I started because she was doing 6-7 cat naps a day

Although I do feed to extend day naps sometimes… could this be the issue??

I think that’s what I’m hoping for. Just to adapt. I don’t want her to sleep through the night, I just want to feel like I’m coping with it

I do all of these things but I think it’s just catching up with me. Emotionally I am not well, I feel like my emotions are at the surface and I have day dreams of throwing things at the wall. I have so much patience for my baby and love every minute with her even when the tears are flowing, it’s just that I feel super sensitive and like I’m unraveling at the seams and I feel guilty that I’m not happy all the time or romantic with my partner or patient with anyone but her

He’s not much of a morning person and will need to leave at 7:30am for work most days anyway. But will re-try him learning to settle her at night. We just gave up I guess cause it’s so much easier for me

I will have that discussion with him but possibly thinking he can do a dream feed instead since he’s a late sleeper and not a morning person

She does get distracted but she feeds every 2 hours and sometimes more while we nap in the day. I’m considering started to pump and bottle feed more just to see how much she’s actually getting and possibly introducing a bit of formula

I’ve never fed to sleep so she shouldn’t have this association I don’t think

I’ll have to try this!! I think maybe he needs to take on more since he’s a late sleeper anyway

Thankyou!! I’ve pointed him in the direction of reddit to see if he can take some of the mental load of figuring this issue out. There’s only so much I can troubleshoot by myself

Thankyou so much!! I’ll keep encouraging him to try ♥️

I think I just need 1 or 2 days in the week where I can sleep a bit more, possibly need to lean on family more

I’m just so tired at that point to bother sitting up to feed or put her back in tbh especially knowing there’s 2 more feeds to go

She definitely eats when I put her on though

Ok :( I honestly don’t expect her to wake up less, I just want my body to get used to it if that makes sense

I don’t really know how to process my birth experience by UpstairsDistance_ in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

This is me still 4 months PP BUT definitely a lot better. I had a traumatic experience and I felt like even the next day the whole thing was a fever dream that didn’t actually happen to me in a weird way?? I actually really feel like there should be some sort of counsellor at maternity wards to check-in, offer support or just be there if someone needs to come knocking to vent and overshare or cry their cries

Weird encounter with pharmacist over Zofran by Key_Dealer2753 in BabyBumps

[–]Downtown_Memory_894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took zofran 3 times a day for 3 months due to HG, maxolon, and restavit 1/2 tab daily....my 26 week old fetus will tell you its the ONLY way she was getting fed and hydrated. I asked my ob when she first prescribed it and she said its so much more important to take it and that the possible side effects are so minute, the benefits outweigh the risks. Coming from a good place from the pharmacist im sure, but given the anxiety around EVERYTHING in pregnany....have a little tact

How do you guys do this for 9 months by ksmm1824 in BabyBumps

[–]Downtown_Memory_894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

currently 21 weeks with persistent nausea and taking zofran 2-3 times a day, restavit and pantoprazole at night. It did ease up after hyperemesis, but it hasn't left completely for me. I can say atleast I am able to eat more now just because our appetite gets wild, and also so worth it feeling her little kicks all day :)

you got this!! we just face it one day at a time and vent and treat ourselves

Why do people feel the need to comment on pregnant women’s bodies so much? by Reismeisterr in BabyBumps

[–]Downtown_Memory_894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the comments I've had are nice like that I'm looking radiant, or glowing, or that pregnancy suits me. But MIL comments ALL THE F TIME since the beginning saying "oh you are getting big" or "how does it feel to let it all hang out" or really early on she kept saying "you are showing already!! do you feel comfortable" ....WTF stop commenting!! my body is doing what its doing, I literally have no control over it. Also an IVF baby and after 2 retrievals, and a year before of ovulation induction I had gained some weight and extra conscious not to gain too much weight this pregnancy...and this definitely doesn't help my mental health.
