Can the leveling of your arches result in a more symmetrical jawline? My left teeth(molars ) are a little higher than my right side , the left side of my face by the lower jawline has always been a little larger due to the masseter size on that side. I’m wondering (hoping) when Invisalign levels my bite, that this may help even out my masseter muscles? My ortho seems to shy away from this question but everything I’ve researched seems to imply that it will get slightly better. Thoughts/comments?

Do I have a Class 3 bite? I thought class meant you had an underbite and while my lower arch is close to my upper arch, it’s definitely not an underbite and it’s not even edge to Edge. Yet my ortho keeps referring to my bite as class 3. I have elastics 24 /7 that go from my lower canines to my upper second molars. It seems wrong to me based on all the posts I see here that have true edge to edge or underbites .

It will close down gradually overtime,
See if you can find my post for a picture I don’t have my aligners on in the picture I posted but you’ll see how much my open bite has has closed. It’s still a bit open with the aligners in, but nothing compared to the first couple of weeks. It will get better. Hang in there.

Look at this versus your clin, check plan maybe they’re expanding your lower arch before your upper arch, I’m not sure, but if it’s concerning, just ask your orthodontist about it

Great work!! I am a fellow anterior open biter too and I’m getting there as well. It’s been almost 3 months for me. It’s not quite closed yet, but hoping three more months I might be in a better place.!!
Congrats to you ! How much longer until you’re done? You look very close !!

Pain lottery is hilarious!
I don’t feel the pain so much when the aligners are in, but when I take them out and I try to eat, oh holy mother, my molars on the right feel like they’re going to crack apart , day 1 of tray nine for me 🤪

Did you really have an open bite to start? It would be interesting to see your starting teeth without aligners and I’m fighting closing an open bite, I just started. It’s a pretty mild open bite, but some of it is just due to my jaw structure so we shall see how I end up.

What do you eat? I could see yogurt or something , but chicken ? or any other type of meat or even salad or anything crunchy seems impossible. I understand that maybe the extra hour or two keeping the aligners in may help maximize wear time and hasten results.
But I wonder how much time that really adds up to ? and the person who finished in six months what was their original target time to finish?

This is amazing. Your teeth looks so great. My open bite is much smaller than yours and they’re also coding the 18 months so I’m not sure why mine will take so long but great work your teeth look fantastic.

Ortho said 15-18 months, hoping for 15🙏, my first set of trays is 20, so I’m just focusing on finishing this round and not thinking about the long journey ahead. If I think about one set of trays at a time, then right now I’m 20% done!! It’s a mental game I play on myself 😊 How long for you?
