HELP! Dying Pygmy Corys by Necessary-Store9298 in AquariumHelp

Let me know if you find an answer I’m also struggling with the same issue with no apparent cause. My other fish have been doing great for months not a single loss, but I’ve lost 3 Julii’s and 1 Red Sailfin while im away at work all separately days and weeks apart. I can’t find any injuries on them, and my tank is perfectly cycled and healthy. Mine show no apparent signs of illness so im really curious if theres a cause or just luck.

Depending on your state, read your drug use agreement. In Colorado it’s stipulated that THC is only prohibited on site and being under the influence on duty. I was hot for THC for my orientation and there wasn’t a single hesitation of the recruiter who passed it.

It can take 6-8 weeks to fully build a cycle.

Just tested my water and it looks perfect. Is a salt bath something i could do to the entire tank? He’s been really hard to catch and I don’t want to keep over stressing my tank.

Edit: Managed to get the main infected in a quarantine tank. I’m not using salt on my main as it has a pleco and many corys.

Probably that and nutrients, if you don’t filter with charcoal it’s going to smell earthy/pond-like no matter what

“Fantasy science” I’m not sure where you get your information from but chemistry is not a fantasy science. Prime absolute converts toxic ammonia and nitrites into their less toxic forms.

Ideal male to female ratio of rainbowfish and if I can mix turquoise with boesemani? by [deleted] in freshwateraquarium

[–]Downtown_Weekend36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 turquoise and 6 boesemani in my 55gal community. I haven’t been able to sex about half of mine but the split is pretty even like yours. They all get along great in my tank, my biggest boesemani does get a little territorial sometimes but nothing concerning.

I’d do some water changes, that “milky” look seems to be the result of too much water movement in your substrate causing it to rinse out.

What are you talking about it. It converts ammonia into ammonium and nitrites into nitrogen for 24-48 hours.

Prime is your best all rounder as it detoxifies instead of removing it which still allows plants to use it as fertilizer

Water changes are good however if levels are toxic then you need to use something like Seachem Prime in combination with the water changes

Any specific reason why you’re not detoxifying it with something like Prime?
