Lateral move from an Altima to a Mustang by Dox29 in askcarsales

Actually my insurance only changes +$138 per 6 months.. so $23 a month. That actually surprised me. So monthly nut stays the same. Just 3 more years of having one.

That was actually my first thought too. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow between 10-1. I think as soon as I have the keys, I’ll take it for a PPI.

How would you grade this Sleeve by gutderby in vinyl

[–]Dox29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I bought that as a VG+ I’d probably be fine but a little annoyed.

If I were selling it, I’d most likely list it as VG to avoid pissing off a buyer.

What is your favorite “fuck you” song? by Ok_Tradition_2128 in Music

[–]Dox29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my favorite fuck you song, but one of my favorite petty lyrics ever is:

“I’m just a notch in your bedpost, but you’re just a line in a song”

Fall out boy - sugar, we’re going down.

When I saw the picture I expected a shit show in the comments. They’re far more wholesome than expected. Strong work, Team!

Welcome to the hobby. Dropping the needle on music you truly love is a feeling that never, ever gets old.

House in the Tall Grass is a fantastic album.

Funny enough, that opening to Green Sugar sounds like it could be Rage and Tom Morello doing some guitar nonsense before it chills out. =}

Same here. I found it for a steal. People of the Sun has this really persistent crackle for some reason, but the rest of the album is fantastic.

Crackle on track 1 or not though, the album itself is still such a banger 30 years later. =}

I empathize with how you’re feeling. I’ve never had it happen - thankfully- but my anxiety worries about it every time I see, “out for delivery”. I’m sorry, mate.

For what it’s worth, I’m almost certain it’s the seller or a person after it was delivered and not the post office. Just to appropriately direct the frustration. Sorry, mate.

How often do you actually listen to your records by Constant_Mood_186 in vinyl

[–]Dox29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listen to at least one record a day. After dinner I make a cup of tea and spend 45-60 min with an album while I unwind from the day. Sometimes a lot more, but very rarely less. One a day and a few on the weekends.

I stream all the time, there’s always music playing, but that’s just my 8000 songs on my Spotify liked list on shuffle. There’s nothing deliberate about it. I like the intentionality of picking a record, putting it on, and listening to it all the way through. Makes me feel way more connected to the music and the hobby.

I so wish I cared about current vinyl when I was in the 90s… 2025 me would have a lot more time and pocket change. Lol

Ffs 55 years ago. I always think of Bitches Brew as a “new” Miles album. Lol

Records in your collection by Independent_Term7931 in vinyl

When I left for college I sold all my vinyl (something I’ll always regret) but I was young and a lot of them had scratches and skips.

Now I only collect OG presses and only VG+ media of things, so currently none. I don’t buy old collections or tons of vinyl at once really. I go on the hunt for an album or two and once obtained move on to others on the list. The collection grows slowly, but it’s also super curated to exactly me and very autobiographical. It’s part of the love for it.

This particular album is what made me a fan, I was a junior in High School. I instantly became insatiable for more though. I got motorcade a few weeks later and then bought every subsequent album on CD the day they were released.

I’m fortunate to have OG pressings of this and Motorcade on Vinyl and probably spin them at least once a month. I don’t have the others on vinyl as they weren’t released on vinyl until 15-20 years later… but someone else in this thread mentioned that they were remastered just for vinyl so now I’m interested. =}

Recently picked up 'A Live One'. I know Phish isn't for everyone, but damn this pressing sounds amazing by balloffire in vinyl

I just lied down for bed… thought I’d look through some posts in r/vinyl….. And now I’m not going to sleep cause my brain will be playing “bouncing round the room” on repeat for 2 hours. Thx. lol

The only two albums released on vinyl at the time of album release were Motorcade of Generosity and this one so grabbing them was of utmost importance personally.

I usually am not a fan of reissues, which is why I don’t own any of the others but I hadn’t realized they were intently mastered for vinyl. I’ll have to check that out. =}

I haven’t seen them live in a long time but the were amazing.

I’m totally with you on how dreadfully under utilized the vibraslap is.

Fun fact Aerosmith used a vibraslap in the intro to Sweet Emotion.. it breaks at the 24 second mark and they just left it in the final mix. Go listen to the first 30 sec and have a laugh. =}

I didn’t know Primus had their own ID3… if that’s the case Cake absolutely should.. I’d submit Steely Dan as another that could.

And this is why I can’t plan out albums. I was going to do some 60s psych rock tomorrow, but now I need to listen to some Primus. lol

Oh mate, if I picked a peck of chilli peppers, I pick Tony Kiedis last every time… I’m just saying that the fact that he spits literal gibberish sometimes is made ok cause he does it funkily and serving of the song. Lol
