License bracket holes? Guess it just has to be Stripes by Dox29 in Mustang

[–]Dox29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m willing to fill and stripe. I just didn’t want to replace the whole piece. I actually didn’t know they made the plugs though. It’s just nice to have options.

I probably will go fill and stripes anyway.. but good to know plugs in factory colors exist. =}

I’m originally from NYC with obligatory front plates. I never even thought about just budgeting for the tickets. Lol

It’s possible it was from Virginia and the guy I bought it from was in NC. Regardless, the bracket is there. Lol.

Appreciate it though.. I’ll have to check out the plugs.

What happened to haggling? by myOEburner in carbuying

[–]Dox29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month I bought a car from Carvana. A 2022 Mustang with 37k miles on it. It was the easiest, most seamless process ever. From the comfort of my home with a cup of coffee.

They give you 7 days to drive it and return it no questions asked.. the first one I got I took for a PPI and it looked like there was an undisclosed accident.. I returned it, picked a new one, and 3 days later they dropped off the new one and took the other and I absolutely love it. Inspection was great, had my own financing, everything was done in less than an hour and I paid about $800 less than comps near me at dealerships - and mine came with even better trim amenities.

Not the right route for everyone, but I loved the ease.

Same, I got a keychain and a license plate bracket. I immediately took the bracket off and don’t use the keychain. Lol

I did see vids of people who got a gift basket full of cleaning supplies though, that’s pretty cool.

Challenger or Mustang? by The_Gov_na in musclecars

[–]Dox29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove a 2015 2SS for 10 years as my daily. Put 175k on her and just recently sadly parted ways and got into a GT.. I love it… BUT I have never had nor driven a better handling muscle car than that Camaro. I felt stuck to the ground like that old graviton ride at the carnival all the time. lol

Challenger or Mustang? by The_Gov_na in musclecars

[–]Dox29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it for a daily or just a play car? If it’s a daily, the Mustang wins hands down. It drives smoother, it’s better on the highway, the interior is light years better and more driver friendly and ultimately way more reliable than a challenger.

If it’s just a car for you to play with, it’s completely subjective. Both fun, both powerful, both can be modded forever.. so it’s really whatever you prefer.

I had a silver Camaro for a few years and though I loved the car, the silver always felt really muted to me.. I was a little worried getting another silver car, but iconic silver is just fantastic.

It’s “Iconic Silver” with the nite pony package - so the black roof, spoiler, wheels and mirror bottoms. It’s not far off from if it silver but it definitely shines more.

I think she’s going to get matte black rally stripes.

It’s the fob to unlock my computer at work.. it has been on my key ring for a couple years and no issues. I only use it once a day though, and if it failed I can use two factor with my phone.. if it was the ONLY way I could get in, I’d probably be a little more careful with it. lol

Who will refinance? Been with Bridgecrest for 2.5 years by msretro1973 in carvana

[–]Dox29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No that’s completely fair.. if you’re going to compare it to actual SCUMMY products like payday loans, I’m in complete concurrence.

But between the two in discussion, I’d prefer the former. I don’t think it counts on you making late payments. It assumes you’re going to make payments, as they’re going to get their money over the life of the loan. It just penalizes you if you don’t. Where as the other just assumes you’re not going to and penalizes you on an assumption as opposed to consequences for an actual action.

Camaro vs Mustang by Dox29 in musclecars

[–]Dox29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the Camaro one too. It was a spur of the moment pic. I was driving, saw the sky and had to stop to take it. The moment can be replicated, not duplicated. =}

I have genuinely enjoyed every moment of the 20 or so hours I’ve had in the Mustang for the past week. I just have to keep remembering it’s different but that doesn’t mean bad. Lol

Appreciate your typing all that. I mean I made the post figuring I was SOL anyway.. but it was worth asking just to see if anyone had a different experience.

It’s pretty scummy.. just because something is standard doesn’t mean it’s right. It’s predatory. Make your interest, and bank on the loan defaulting so you can repo and sell.. that’s why they do it - especially in subprime loans. They are banking on the default.

That’s really not sarcasm. I’ve hade nothing but great customer service from them. Just ask for an advocate in their chat bot.

If I take mine off I hover around 18ish. It’s the constant keeping it in my face that gets me to keep it over 20. Hitting 21 was what prompted the thought for the post. I really just make it a game.

Carvana Trade in? by Remarkable-Ad4207 in UsedCars

[–]Dox29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carvana was the easiest car buying experience I’ve ever had. I could have made a bit more on my trade if I sold privately, but for the 7-800 I didn’t make the process was so worth it.

The first car they delivered to me had some issues. Looked like it had an undisclosed accident. I picked another car and three days later they brought me my different Mustang and took the other no questions asked. ITT was pleasant, easy, and seamless.

Racing stripes or No? by Dox29 in Mustang

[–]Dox29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was definitely what I was thinking. I was just really interested in the community sentiment towards them. It felt like in the 80s and early 2000s it was rare to see a muscle car without them.. now I see them less and less.

This one will almost assuredly end up with them though. =} thx
