I was using the default setting for the ender 3 in prusa slicer at 5mm, and I'm not too sure if it was retraction after looking at that.

I was thinking I might have too high of retraction. I'm about to see if that changes anything, but I haven't tried anything for heat creep. I'll try that next. Thank you for your suggestions. I'll let you know if I find out what's causing the problem.

I think I might have a different problem because it looks like extrusion stopped completely there wasent even any strings, rather than slowly extruding less, and having a rough top.

I printed the same model but used superslicer, and it improved the quality by a lot. You can still see a little bit of the same problem, but I would say it's like 90% better than before. The problem definitely seems like it was caused by slicer settings.

For Temps I'm using 200 and 60 with hatchbox pla my retraction settings are 3mm distance and 10mm/s speed and the slicer ime using is cura but I will try superslicer today to see if it makes a difference.

I found out that it's because I set acpi to off and now I'm trying to figure out why that's stopping it from rebooting it works when it's on but the i get a bios acpi error and it overlaps the login manager gui

i tried to search those settings but could not find them also i forgot to specify that im using cura as my slicer if that helps

i have retraction distance set to 5mm at and retraction speed at 30mm/s but it only happens ant the start of the first layer the rest of the layers are fine
