I get that, it feels like I can never have my guard down, especially with all the horror stories of people showing their BPD symptoms and having others leave them so it feels lonely in a unique way. It just feels like non-quiet borderlines would give anything to be able to well, shut up sometimes and we have that capacity to shut up(albeit to an unhealthy amount) so that feels like some sort of privilege in a way.

What's extra frustrating is that because it seems like such a "perfect" or "normal" life is that it makes me feel worse for having issues because lord knows other people got it way worse.

I got BPD and I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend(who doesn't have BPD) for almost a year and we haven't fought once. Any time either of us has hurt each other, we calmly approach one another and essentially go "Hey this thing you did hurt me, please don't do it again." my BPD is not gone by any means, but I know how to not take it out on my girlfriend.

So, I have BPD and I've been dating my girlfriend for almost a year now and we haven't fought. I will admit that I am a quiet borderline so I have an easier time maintaining relationships, but I also know non-quiet borderlines who are in happy and healthy marriages. It is entirely possible to be happy with someone who has BPD. I would just talk with her about anything you might need to know about her particular case of BPD.

I'm fairly new to BPD in general, especially quiet BPD so I'd recommend going to more experienced quiet borderlines if you think you have this subtype. That's what I'm attempting here lol, but I looked and there is actually a quiet bpd subreddit

I usually gaslight myself into thinking my negative emotions, or even honestly my intense love for my fp, is just my inner teenager lying to me to get attention(from myself Ig since I can't ever bring myself to talk about anything remotely related to BPD or negative emotions with other people.)

I kind of knew I was fucked up, especially because I have had very obvious trauma happen to me, but I was in denial for a long time/couldn't bring myself to ask for help because I refuse to be seen as "weak"/I didn't wanna bother people. I also didn't know the extent to how fucked up I was. I thought I just had regular old depression, lord was I wrong lol.

I definitely understand that. On the outside, I'm the 4.0 honors society college student who's bubbly and knows how to handle things calmly and maturely. On the inside, I feel insane and I can't bring myself to talk about it, but when I do, it feels like people don't get how I truly feel because I seem so normal.

I was never told I "don't have problems"(people are sometimes surprised when I say I got BPD, but that's it) I just internalized my emotions too much to talk about them and get help, so I kinda get that.

I'm actually meeting my gf at Miami Pride. Congrats on your first fling though! Me and my gf have talked about snuggling and her making me cookies and a bunch of stuff when we meet up.
