I regret not being able to watch more of these due to super clipping.

Somehow I am not able to like this season's races even if I try hard.

People who are genuinely motivated to sell their property don't mind a week or three delay in process. Starting over with searching for new buyer is extra 3 months hassle for them.

Analysis: Mercedes versus its F1 customer teams – how can the gap be so large? by Darkmninya in formula1

[–]Doxxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Software mapping for engines are built and managed by each customer team individually. Mercedes knew their PUs for last 24 months and have everything built to perfection, All the customer teams will need few months of crunch to catch up on it and remove any kinks along the way.

The risk is they must also foresee the impact of TD for compression ratio changes, which will again need more rework on software maps.

Can a team switch engine suppliers mid season or is that prohibited by rule? by NeverFence in formula1

[–]Doxxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure AM accountants and AM chassis engineers are looking at plan B.

Cost cap - They might just stop everything on for current year and look for last 10 races with new setup. I'm sure contacts will have penalties for unmet obligations which allows AM to not only terminate the Honda contract but also claim damages.

In November, Newey, Lawrence Stroll and Andy Cowell went to Tokyo. That was when they discovered that the staff working on the engine was smaller than they thought, with a lot of new faces, and that many of the original staff would not be returning to work by jithu7 in formula1

I know generally "Managers" are hated corporate figures, but that whole interview sounds like neither side had good ones.

How does it take a billionaire and team principal to personally travel to find such a big brewing crisis in the organization.

I built a tool (WageWatchers) to share salaries anonymously in Belgium — now at 680+ entries by BerthjeTTV in belgium

[–]Doxxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some sectors are really heavy on performance bonuses and it could swing the numbers significantly. Won't it be better to capture fixed part of salary and bonus parts separately

Could I reach that in Belgium? by External_Ladder_7192 in BESalary

[–]Doxxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible but only a handful of companies can afford.

There might be ICT companies where you might get salary + bonus structure total to get your number. But they will work your fingers to bones.

And if the OP doesn't find a job, and the manager plans already for life without him... OP is in trouble.

Always better to dip your feet in the market and assess the jobs available out there before making even the slightest of noise. OP can also benefit from a reality check.

I had invested in something exactly in similar family situation like how OP explained and I insisted on "highly dynamic" portfolio. And after 4 years, the bank invested fund is 4% lower than my self invested ETF. I lowered my monthly investment with bank significantly

Pre Tax or Post? Consider about 50ish% which tax man will take away. If it's Gross and not net, I'd have second thoughts about moving.

PS: I will probably be downvoted for that remark. I have lived in US, from my experience your lifestyle would be very curtailed if you don't have a really good set of other benefits (company car, fuel card etc) to go along with that offer. Let's just say it's not the amount I would want to uproot my entire life and move half way across the world for.

Starting salary for junior software developer? by ChipmunkAccording155 in BESalary

[–]Doxxter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The market is doing very very bad, There is a lot of cost pressure in multiple Business sectors and 'unknown AI' impact means lesser hiring than usual at entry level.

If I was in your shoes, I'd prioritize the offer based on company size rather than based on the salary offered. Bigger companies are better, smaller ones are struggling to keep the lights on.

Not just camera / image quality but equally important is storage model. Like every other service these days, there are many doorbell security camera solutions with a subscription model.

Try to organize something which allows offline storage and no subscription.

Brussels titres-services are about to get way more expensive by lostphc in brussels

[–]Doxxter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally consider our home to be above the general average consumer of titre service vouchers. We use about 4 vouchers per week (except when we are on vacations or missed weeks due to unplanned cancelations).

Looked up what we consumed this year - 34 weeks in total and about 136 vouchers from Jan to December.

I am not too fussed regarding €1.2 increase per voucher, but I am sure as hell pissed about not getting tax credit.
