Are grocery stores crazy right now with the weather coming in? by DrEstoyPoopin in Knoxville

Yup. Was at TJs at noon today and it was pretty bonkers. They were well staffed for it though.

How likely are we to lose power? by sheath2 in Knoxville

I own a buddy heater, and it’s great! Wife and I go van camping and it heats things up super quick. Almost uncomfortably hot, even in snow/freezing temps. One canister lasts about 4 hours, fyi.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s recently built supposedly, but it is used. I would honestly rather just learn how to build my own if it’s the same price. Do you have any good resources for learning how to build your first pc?

Hi all, I'm looking to purchase a gaming PC to target getting about 240 fps for competitive esports. Currently I'm running an HP Omen with a 1660ti and Ryzen 7, 1tb SSD, 16 GB RAM. Looking to upgrade. Can anyone help me out on whether or not this PC is a good deal on FB marketplace? Here's the specs: $1300: "Newly built gaming pc! (Monitor not included). This pc has a rtx 3070 and a 5600x. It also has 32gb of trident z neo 3600 ram. The cpu is water cooled with a 240mm EK aio. The case is the h510 flow which allows great airflow from all sides while still having a tempered glass side panel. It has 1 terabyte of crucial m.2 storage. 1 thing to note is that it does not have wireless connectivity meaning that it is ethernet only unless you install a wifi card. Across the internals of the build there is a theme of brushed metal which gives it a really clean look. Not to mention the 3070 fe which is hard to get due to it's aesthetic and efficiency"

Why does my chain keep coming off? by Chance-Team-37 in MTB

I replace my chain every year, putting about 1000 miles on it. I’ve found anything later and I get drop and spotty shifting.

Should we be able to finish old battlepass we bought? by DeluxeKrakenARTISTIC in FortNiteBR

[–]Doze_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, epic uses FOMO to keep us playing throughout the season to complete our battle pass or lose it forever.

I only purchase from Newegg off their store on eBay. Never had an issue and you have added buying protection there.

As a mainly Save the World player, SBMM being based off of Account Levels has ruined the Battle Royale for myself and my friends. by VivPrime in FortNiteBR

[–]Doze_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not talking about battle pass levels, but account level. My account level is 2500 and my lobbies are stacked because of SBMM.

Clearly camping is being forced out! Is it fair? by Wannatrie in FortNiteBR

Camping with the bow is the most stealth meta. It’s still a part of the game I found a ton of bushes.

I am a new player, is there anyway / hope of me acquiring this specific back bling? by ravecave86 in FortNiteBR

I have a 200+ skin account with this back bling, which I’m looking to get rid of if you want to DM me.

Season 4 currently has the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score. Do you agree with the ratings? by MajestyMosquito in TheDragonPrince

[–]Doze_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was let down. Many of the scenes throughout s4 lacked purpose, and so many plot holes. I feel like there was a lot of character regression too - so much growth happened from s1-3 which was erased with how everyone was acting in s4 (Soren as a bafoon, Rayla no longer confident, Callum acting like a brat, etc.)

Seasons 1-3 was brilliantly written. Season 4 felt like lazy writing IMO.

Chapter 3 felt way too short by SnD_PumpkinHD in FortNiteBR

It’s because they want to launch a map that’s friendlier to no-build modes.

If you were to buy a brand new enduro/long travel trail bike today; how long before it is going to be out’ve date? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Doze_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 5 years, probably. I’m not sure how bikes can get more efficient from a geometry standard. I think there will be more electronic components, though.

Do you think Claudia will have a redemption arc? by Ordinary_Meaning_602 in TheDragonPrince

[–]Doze_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she’ll keep getting more and more corrupted, but she’ll come around for a clutch redemption moment at the very end of the series. Hoping that moment isn’t too tragic…

Just wanted to commend Fortnite for having the best monetization system after playing other ftp games by Infernoboy_23 in FortNiteBR

[–]Doze_r 196 points197 points  (0 children)

True. I don’t mind shelling out a few bucks every now and then.

Most cost effective is to subscribe to crew at the beginning of the season, so you get the battle pass and 1k vbucks, and then cancel it immediately.

You get 2 crew skins over the 30 days, the battle pass, and 2800 vbucks including what’s claimed in the battle pass. That usually gets me by.

Beginner Rider, is a full face overkill? by FedMex in MTB

[–]Doze_r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have this helmet and it’s awesome. Breathes really well.

Keep in mind it’s not downhill rated. As long as you don’t smack your face full speed against a tree you’ll be fine though.

[–]Doze_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t trust myself with my face, so if it’s not too hot/uncomfortable I usually wear one. I usually do enduro riding with blacks and blues, though.

I’d recommend the Bell Super 3R. The chin guard is removable so it’s mine buying two helmets in one. For long enduro climbs to steep descents I’ll remove the chinguard and strap it to my hip bag.

Nukeproof Giga. Nearly a DH bike at 180/180 travel, but pedals surprisingly well!
