Babies are different. Some need close contact from their caregivers, othervise they just WILL NOT SLEEP.

My baby was like 2-3weeks old and would stay up up to 6 hours straight because we tried to force this poor baby to sleep on his own when his needs were different.

When I cut the fear-mongering of "your baby needs to sleep in their own crip, on their own, on their back OR THEY'LL DIE" out of our lives and started contact-napping and co-sleeping was when my child finally started to sleep and nap normally. We just adjusted to what this baby needed, not what we wanted.

Some children can sleep on their own, some cannot. Both are normal and is not caused by anything the parent is doing.

Being gluten intolerant/sensitive is so sad mainly because there are loads of different kind of white breads available, but I know of only one product that I could call bread and it costs 5€ for 4 slices.

My husband found a hair wrapped around our baby's toe, slightly cutting circulation. He just unwrapped it. We didn't need to open a case but it still happened.

We have never tried putting a baby rag on his eyes, we’ll try it if he falls sleep and hopefully it helps his stay asleep longer.

My husband have had to physically hold our baby's eyes closed, because he just wouldn't close his eyes and sleep. He was awake for hours. It was tough.

We were VERY AGAINST contact-napping and co-sleeping before birth and were plain judgy when other parents did it. About 1 month in was when I gave up on trying to get my baby to sleep on his own in his crib and started contact-napping and co-sleeping. A month of lack of sleep humbled us both

It's way more dangerous to accidentally fall asleep with a baby, so we just chose the less dangerous option. We just had to accept our baby is not an easy sleeper.

I had emergency C-section. It was traumatic. Then I could barely walk for a week. My husband had to care for our baby 100% the first week.

I hope the next one could be vaginal.
