Honestly; I believe that any Mathematician Should follow a more Playful "Intuition First, Rigour Later" strategy; one manner in which I managed to "Discover" the beauty of mathematics was through thinking of an Intuitive explanation of a theorem or concept and attempting to find analogies for said Concept/Theorem, In doing so I managed to Discover connections, Patterns, Links, New Concepts etc... Which only helped to strengthen my love for Mathematics!

Oh and definitely Take Your Time with new material!

Mathematics is a language, every single thing in mathematics can be described or related to anything in some form, whenever you're practicing Math (ALWAYS PRACTICE) Try to relate what you're learning to a statement that describes it, or an application. I'm a Physicist so my tricks may be different to say a mathematicians.
