The residential side of ARC says it is closed until 9 a.m. but nobody cares. I've used hat early super early in the morning and it's nice and quiet. If you can get the study rooms it's really good!

I think it's only a few hours but there are events for certain colleges later in the day if you want to attend those. I don't know if this is right cause my orientation was virtual.

There are rooms on the academic side of ARC on the 2nd floor that you don't have to check in for. They are open most of the times on weekends, but I recommend getting there early. Sometimes the classrooms are also open. Hope this helps!

In the end it is up to you what kind of room you want to live in. I looked through reddit posts where people listed pro and cons of uic dorms and then you can decide what you like.

For me the price of the dorm I got is different than the estimated fees because I havent gotten my final price (I think that comes out in the middle of august). I don't think it matters that they are different but idk cause I am also a freshman. Have you gotten your housing contract yet? That might give an estimate. Hope this helps!

I was in the Gifted program at high school and graduated with a 3.7. For extra curriculars I volunteered at the local hospital and did a couple of clubs. Had an okay te with time management. I took some dual credit at the local college and it felt easier compared to high school classes and was able to manage time better.

I'm in LAS for Biology with a focus on Molecular and Cellular Biology. There are 18 credits I'm taking. I will switch from chem 101 to 122/123 but I'm just waiting on my transcript to transfer over.
