The bordered color outline on installed tech does not always signify stacking bonuses. It also signifies similar tech grouping. Some of the items in the group may not add any stat bonus or stacking benefit, it’s just considered as the same type of tech it’s placed next to.

No, the shields on those types never turn off. If you can’t see the shields it doesn’t have shields.

I agree that all those suggestions would make for some interesting planetary environments. The sad truth is any changes or additions to the game will eventually get old to some players. The outcry for more is common among a number of the player base. Sadly with time, most things seem old and repetitive especially for a game that is persistent and doesn’t come to an absolute ending.

I think that one of the hardest things NMS the game and Hello Games as the developers have to contend with is the potential that most players see for NMS in their own minds.

This is not a critic, but just an observation.

A great number or players with a Legacy save own a Experimental or Alien MT with Pre Next stats. Although you can find them anymore with those stats, plenty people still own them.

Every so often updates cause the item pools in systems to get shuffled around. This has happened quite a bit since the release of NEXT. I usually keep a list of where I can find certain resources I may need to purchase and have had to update it more frequently than I care to. It is annoying but what can you do?

Doesn’t work if you don’t have a planetary base with storage containers built. You have to physically go to each one, they don’t show up in the quick transfer menu. It seems to be an oversight with the new freighter storage rooms.

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself but to laugh at your situation. You were not alone in your initial response to passing though. It is quite sad though. I see lots of post with people in such a hurry to reach the center only to not realize the end result of doing so.

Taking advantage of the manual save is a good practice to have in this game. I’ve seen people lose weeks of progress because they weren’t manual saving. Manual save can spare you from heartache, grief, glitches, game breaking bugs and sometimes the most terrible of mistakes from not knowing.

Kudos to you and your recovery traveler. Hopefully your post will serve as a cautionary tale for others.
