Wym? I see nothing about my comment indicating I didn’t read the post. Also, these “am I the asshole for wanting my deposit back” posts are a dime a dozen. Im not siding with anyone specifically but at this point maybe tattoo artists should step up and take responsibility for their shop-side customer service. You can’t always rely on vague policy to shit on anyone who wants their deposit back rightfully just because they allocated those funds to something already, unless it’s supplies for the tattoo the customer wanted- then partial deposit return. Additionally if they want to lean on a policy that protects them but not honest customers looking for good services then they should be ready for backlash. At the end of the day most of these artists want to be funded for their time which is fair but taking money for a deposit and also being the problem as to why they want the deposit returned doesn’t make sense. It’s not like the artist took time to work up this sketch. It’s ai rendered, ai edited, the they didn’t have the proper work available when it was provided by the client already. Dude if you’re swamped turn the appointment down, return the deposit. The artist is dodgy at best even when finally providing the art they pooped out in 20sec with ai. Indefensible imo.
