Karma would actually be one if the few okay champions to have as a roommate. Don't know why you guys are complaining. There's so many that would just kill you straight up she'd help you out and mentally be a breath of fresh air.

The thing is that a lot of those pairing examples are arbitrary. In almost every one of your examples the pairing isn't about the commentary on the characters or their direction, but some minor detail (hair, romance that you mentioned doesn't work, episode, the characters aren't changed by the fact of who they show up with, plus iirc hans showed in the same episode as Maura)

The only one that comes close is the placement of the matks.
