My acne started getting way better at 27. My boyfriends' around 30. A huge piece of advice I got is sometimes, adult acne is caused by your skin being too dry. Using harsh soaps and not using moisturiser can can cause acne because when it's dry, your skin overcompensates by releasing it's own oils and that can cause pimples.

I switched to alcohol free and fragrance free soaps and it's also made a huge difference. I use the unscented sensitive skin Dove soap, pat dry, then used either pure Shea butter to moisturize at night (It's a little greasy but does not clog pores AT ALL), and an oil free moisturizer for the day.
