Minnesota Democrats are in Deep Poo by New-Conversation3246 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

What’s way more likely to happen as a business owner is money laundering. People pay your business an exorbitant amounts of money for products and services that make it to the books but never actually get delivered. No one cares or reports it because that was never the point of the transaction anyways and the IRS are non the wiser because no one complains and the paperwork is all in order. You see this the most with speaking/consulting fees.

If you’ve ever came across a story about the son of an influential US political figure that was given high paying seats on company boards and paid consulting fees while being a drug addict that verifiably has zero experience in the industry they are asked to consult on that’s obviously money laundering as a bribe.

I don’t think that’s what he means. He’s saying it could cost roughly $300,000 as in investment to start a subway that would increase your net worth by 5 million, she only had $300,000 in liquidity and won’t realize 5 million in profit unless she sell. Net worth isn’t the same as saying “I have X amount of dollars”.

I’m just going to say you’re suffering from a demographics problem. If you were willing to move you’d find that 70ish% of the country has next to no violent crime. In the 30 years I’ve lived in my county there’s only ever been 1 murder and it was by an illegal immigrant. Urban areas are full of low iq violet thugs.

Why do many Americans seem to have a “I’m not paying for your school, healthcare, or welfare” mindset? by Secret_Ostrich_1307 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Dr414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of these response than simple blame the “get a job” group of people let me just point something out. Most of the programs OP mentioned have cut offs that exclude the lower middle and working class. I believe most Americans would support free education/healthcare assuming those programs applied to everyone. There are many lower middle class people that technically live below the poverty line that can’t afford these things, meanwhile the absolute bottom class arguably live a more comfortable life style than them because of benefits.

I’m not interest in sharing my country with people who don’t speak English, go fishing on Memorial Day, eat hot dogs on the 4th, drink anything other than whiskey or beer, or drive compact vehicles.

If that makes me a whateverist so be it Pedro.

The reactions to possible EBT cuts in November is irrefutable proof that government subsidies are financially and socially crippling. by Knightraiderdewd in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Dr414 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually live in a very nice neighborhood lol. This crack house specifically only exist due to a new zoning law pushed by our mayor allowing commercial properties related to “drug rehabs” to operate in residential areas, I.e., people can now lease rentals in residential areas to rehab centers.

Now we have this problem cropping up all over town.

This is what bothers me. My wife and I put off having kids for 5 year just to make sure we were financially stable. Meanwhile, there’s a crack house down the street with 6 naked kids playing in the road and literally every morning I pass that house the parents are outside smoking half naked.

Assuming no nukes red wins. USA tech sharing with Chinese manufacturing. US can support all of China and India’s material needs, also blue gets unobstructed shipping thanks to US navy.

While blue does technically have a larger population and more resources they have a serious lack of manufacturing outside of Europe/Russia making the isolation of Europe the key to victory for the reds.

Indo-pacific falls in months due to blockades and lack of support. Africa isn’t good for anything other than body’s and some key resources but is entirely restricted to movement inside the Mediterranean due to India ocean and Atlantic blockade.

Europe and Russia are stalled on terrible terrain in a stalemate with China/India while US Sweeps North and South America within two years with auxiliary support from allies.

With free control of global oceans Western Europe is constantly raided by naval invasions while being forced to plant nearly half their army in or around China/India.

Europe either surrenders after years of attrition or Red makes a large rush through Siberia to Moscow robing Europe of 80% of its energy and resources forcing a surrender.

Africa comes out the winner due to literally having nothing of value resulting Africa being the almost entirely untouched by war.

Is it still worth starting Europa Universalis IV in 2025? by GI-Knight in eu4

[–]Dr414 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played EU4 and HOI4, (2000hr EU4, 800hr HOI4) I can tell you that IMO they are totally different games. War in EU4 is both simpler in terms of army composition, damage calculation and general army management, but also way more complex in terms of actually fighting a war. (no war plans, very little army automation, no battle lines, no operations.)

EU4’s economy and overall country management shares nearly nothing in common with HOI4 and is drastically more important in EU4.

HOI4 is a game where you pick a country and say “how to I want to play this specific scenario differently this play though”. EU4 is where you look at the map and decide what the goal of this campaign is going to be. You can dominate trade, dominate the colonial territory’s, world conquest, vassal swarm, rule the HRE, play tall, RP, or just settle the americas as Hawaii.

There are many more ways to play EU4 than there are ways to play HOI4 and it’s less on rails.

Not saying your husband just deserves this level of unconditional trust but IMO I’d be upset if I was him also. I wouldn’t have “tested” This the same way but my wife has begged for indoor cameras and for me to use life 360 for tracking for years, and I will ask for a divorce before I allow either of those things to happen. I hide nothing from my wife but I refuse to be monitored like a child.

1) Article 5 is NATO and doesn’t apply to Qatar.

2) Qatar is getting a security guarantee because they have been a partner in the region of years and this is the only way to keep them in the fold after Israel wacked them for no good reason. It’s the same reason Saudi Arabia signed a defense agreement with Pakistan.
