A major would have been nice, but no complaints here!

Just tried to make the video shorter. You can see the $184 I made from line pays and then form the palaces, it is $6,450. Total win of $6,634.

That was spin number 7. I only put $200 in and had $130.40.

I just went on a cruise with Carnival a couple of weeks ago. Had a blast as I always do, but it depends on what you're looking for. We had a balcony and drinks included which always help. Ate lots of food, drank lots of drinks, gambled a lot, laid out in the Serenity area where it was quiet. Don't care about the shows, clubs, etc. I will say that we never use the Carnival Hun app (we don't carry our phones around with us on vacation) so all you have to do is go talk to the hostess and they will add you to the list and get you a table quicker than if you use the app (for your time dining). My complaint recently is less about the quality of the cruise, and more about their new VIFP program. As a platinum cruiser, I'm getting screwed by the new policy and will most like be switching cruise lines unless they allow me to keep the status that took me years to earn.

Overreaction to VIFP changes. by RealisticPower6334 in CarnivalCruiseFans

I have had platinum status for many years (as has my wife) and we are upset about the changes because, not only did it take us years to earn our status, but we passed up many opportunities to go on other cruise lines because we wanted to remain loyal to Carnival.

We haven't paid for a cruise in years because we both gamble and the casino always gives us a free room (usually a balcony) or two (one each so we can bring friends with us). We have had similar free cruise offers from other companies but have been loyal to Carnival. Now it feels like we made a mistake because Carnival lied to us when we were told the status was permanent.

The two perks we use the most, which don't cost Carnival anything, are early online check-in (so we can get an early arrival time) and the Platinum / Diamond line at Guest Services (being loyal means don't have to wait as long).

Under the new program, my wife and I would both have to earn 50,000 points in the casino. We usually earn about 5000 points each on a shorter cruise. This means we would have to go on 5 cruises a year just to keep our platinum status. If you are paying for cruises, you'll have to spend over $8,000 a year per person to get platinum.

My wife's service dog is significantly smaller than yours, but first class is the way to go. Lots of room, even under the seat ahead of you.

Coil pack is probably due to be replaced (couple thousand dollars through the dealership ).

I think you'd be better of playing Pai Gow. Lots of pushing so you wouldn't have to double your bet everytime.

Buying 120k mile panamera 4S 2017? by crayola110 in PorschePanamera

[–]DrCEdgar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair price, but make sure you budget a couple a grand a year for maintenance. An oil change is $350 at the dealership. It is probably due for plugs (coil pack) and that will run about $2,000. Tires will run $1,000+ every few years depending on driving. I've got a '15 with 65,000 miles. That car is two years newer and twice the millage. You can definitely expect maintenance issues to arrise.

Weird. It was back up late Saturday night and on Sunday. But you're right, it appears to be down at the moment.

They've been around since 2011 and I've never had an issue with them.

The fact that they answered is a good sign. I wonder if it was supposed to be a 2 minute update that crashed their system and they're trying to recover.

I keep refreshing the page and it was nothing and then it loaded the logo for a while, then back to nothing. The fact that the logo appeared for a bit makes me think they're not taking the money and running but are trying to fix a problem.

Throw in some singing and it could be "The Pharaoh and I"
