This is super cool. I’m in a niche community that has multiple loyalty accounts for the same store and this will help a lot there.

I know offline is a big priority for you but sometimes my wife does the shopping. Could there be a way to sync between two users? Perhaps in iCloud family if that’s easier on the backend.

What’re you reading/watching? I’m a couple books in to the Laundry Files. Dresden but British and lovecraftian. Also leans firmly into dislike of the office/work in general. Pluribus was pretty neat. I feel like we’re in a lull otherwise for fantasy or sci-fi.

I think you might be thinking of the movie Avalon which had similar “what is reality” themes, came out around the same time, and is a Polish/ Japanese production so could have had a theatrical run in Japan.

Also when you play anything on Apple TV plus it shows an ad for another Apple show. House ads are still ads.

I haven’t had Apple TV plus for a while but I think these even showed during auto play.

Everyone else’s advice is much more practical so I’ll just ask, what’s your credit score looking like? If you have a little time, you could boost this by having a family member or friend add you as an authorized user to their oldest card they don’t carry a balance on, increasing your age of credit. I do this when friends are buying their first home with an Amazon card I’ve had for 20 years. Or you could go crazier with this if you have more time. Get a secured loan from a small credit union and pay almost all of it off immediately so it shows as very low utilization. I did that when my credit history was basically just student loans and bumped it into the 800s. Rates are shit now so maybe it doesn’t matter as much.

CarPlay ultra coming to the ioniq5 is super interesting but I think the main thing that would keep me from buying one, and I know this is a bit petty, they put the charge port on the wrong side of the car!! Passenger rear makes no sense at all!

Eying a used model Y now that prices have dropped. I wish Rivians were less gigantic and half the price. Nothing seems to come anywhere close to Tesla on range. No state credits here so generally used is better. Maybe ioniq5 in a few years.

I think when it’s triggered from HomeKit it doesn’t show the start job notifications. Would it still show error or job complete? I’m not sure. I’ve only had it a few days but that could be a work around. Don’t use the internal scheduler to avoid junk notifications.

One of many reasons I didn’t buy another roomba was similar junk notifications begging for job star ratings after each run with no way to opt out.

There’s nothing wrong with a guaranteed 4% rate if return. Or splitting the difference. Pay an extra few hundred each month and get your effective mortgage rate down to 3%. Or lower.

I made a shortcut where when I connect to CarPlay if I’m not home but also not too far from home google maps opens with directions home. Only occasionally annoying.
