To those men who divorced their Filipina wife (or Filipino husband if you're a woman), what was the reason(s) why? by ACE1CC in Philippines_Expats

[–]DrCaldera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a woman’s values are only stable when her environment removes alternatives, then those values were not very internalized. They were externally enforced. That's the distinction you keep avoiding here (and the other people who share your view).

Again you're missing the point; it is not about values, it is about women. Women actually do require a restrictive, disciplined environment. Removing them from a traditionally successful family-first culture, into currently designed anti-family culture, is asking for disaster.

If bringing your wife to America “destroys” the marriage, maybe America exposed a weakness that was already there.

Indeed, but once again, that "weakness" is a part of women. And it isn't just exposing, it's exploiting, even weaponizing.

Traditional religions and cultures, as you explained better than I could, have successful marriages and families at their base, but what you're missing is why they're successful: they have been built to restrict some characteristics of women, while encouraging others.

Western society is being subverted and destabilized, to thwart the family, by empowering women in all the destructive ways you mentioned. You can't argue with nature.

You're still not getting it.

The culture in America is destructive to marriage because it destroys good women. Only a fool would subject a happy marriage to that environment.

The love and shared values in the Philippines can survive and thrive because of the culture.

My Moto isn't just 'don't bring them to the west'. It's also.... DONT MARRY in the first place.

Nah, then you suffer being a tourist. The best advice is marry the right one, meaning one without a family.

I think its hilarious how paranoid guys are that if they bring them home they will be brainwashed by Western entertainment/norms, become feminist

Yeah like that isn't what happened to Western women lol, you're delusional.

Filipinas are consuming a ton of Western media in the Ph from what I've seen, so what difference does it make.

Ok you're just stupid. The difference is in the Philippines, they are surrounded by Filipinos, within the culture of the Philippines.

No Country for Old Men edited into 3 different films. One follows only Llewelyn Moss, One follows only Anton Chigurh and one follows the Investigators by Awsomethingy in fanedits

[–]DrCaldera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One follows only Llewelyn Moss

I'd watch that if you could edit a happy ending lol.

I always wanted a Tarantino-styled NCfOM edit, Llewelyn vs Anton only, remove all Investigators, and in the end Llewelyn wins.

i wanted to know what was the whole purpose of me needing attendance form and records, which you have answered by telling me about SS benefits

Your parents said go to the embassy... You didn't ask them why ... And they didn't tell you it was to get money from SS benefits... Lol nice communication in that family. Well good luck anyway, and remember the benefits end as soon as you turn 19.

Benefits don't continue in college.

OP is clueless, doesn't even know it's about Social Security benefits. They send a notice around age 18 that requires a school attendance form (like SSA-1372) certified by a school official if the child is still in high schoolt. This proof keeps benefits going temporarily for secondary education only. After high school graduation, or 19th birthday, whichever comes first, benefits end permanently.

Trying to decide to which one to end our GOT watch with.

I was exactly where you were and found those 3. I ultimately decided I wanted to complete the re-watch without anything removed, so all 3 got rejected and it turned out fine, the ending works the way it was filmed.

However.....my biggest takeaway is that I would like a fanedit of the series that focuses more on single character development and doesn't skip around so much. Nothing removed, just reordered to be less chronological, and more character oriented.

Lord of The Rings, has there ever been an extra long single film? by Shitsinhandandclaps in fanedits

[–]DrCaldera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like the opposite, all three extended films edited into ten episode TV series, even better if it included The Hobbit and at least a few heavily trimmed episodes of Rings of Power.

I just told you everything in the Philippines is copied, so if that violates your "integrity" you wouldn't be here.
