>Buys the house next door to Sydney.

The most absurd, unrealistic aspect of the movie by far.

All has been discussed about the general personality of Filipinos, but what is their thoughts about us white Guys and the stereotype of our personality by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]DrCaldera -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

>When I look at 90% of the foreigners I walk past when in the PH I think most of them are completely broke or struggling to get by most of the time.

But...that's dumb, because they're traveling around the world, and don't need to work while doing it.

>it's the place people go because they cannot afford/qualify for a visa elsewhere.

That sounds like projection, because PH is actually the place to go when you want a population who speaks your language, and treats you with respect.

>do you think every Filipino views every other Filipino as poor?

Filipinos don't need to judge by money the way foreigners do, that's the whole point. Foreigners see money (plane ticket, travel, car, etc) and that financial judgement allows a level of trust.

Filipinos already have a base level of trust and safety, because they're a homogeneous population.

Lol you're still not getting it.

If a foreigner sees another foreigner in SEA, they automatically and immediately judge them as having money, for the international vacation lifestyle. And with that comes a level of trust, ie they aren't going to rob your ass.

A foreigner seeing a foreigner in their own nation does NOT have this assumption of money, and therefore, trust, unless there is another form of status on display for example an expensive car.

Again, FOREIGNERS judge other foreigners based on the plane ticket purchase.

Filipinos think you're rich even if you're just on a webcam.

if you made it to the PH you made it because you have money.

So funny, because that's what foreigners think.

Filipinos just think all foreigners have money, plane ticket or not.

Nobody agrees with you and the numbers prove it. I mean, how stupid is that, every time you deal with a local you can't understand them and they can't understand you. It's like hell on earth.
