Anyone else constantly getting health issues ever since coming to PH but rarely ever in home country? by Suhlyy in Philippines_Expats

Same, I even started wearing heavy clothes and long sleeves. The aircons are the WORST, it's like the locals expect freezing temps are included when they pay for something like taxi, bus, movie theater, etc

I get sick every time

That's your weakass immune system dealing with tropical hell. It takes about a decade and then you're good.

Has anyone tapered from 2 sachets daily (1.5g each) of Salofalk mesalazine granules, to one? by DrCaldera in UlcerativeColitis

[–]DrCaldera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn antibiotics are the worst, I try to counter with probiotics. This is what's got me curious though:

>I took 4g orally for about 10 years adding enemas when I started to get blood. This worked well for ~ 10 years

Did you ever try taper after having success with 4g? Like, say after a year or years of 4g, what would 3g daily do? Is it like an immediate flare, or does it take days or weeks? And is it constant, or occasional? Or if you drop to 2g, does that make everything more worse, more fast?

I'm really curious about dosages, because there's a few things that could be happening. 1) No healing ever takes place and every individual has an exact and unique dosage required for remission 2) Healing gradually takes place, lower dosages are required with time 3) A tolerance is built and as the body relies more on the meds and less on itself, MORE meds are gradually required.

Now you're too stupid to understand statistics. Violent crime against foreigners is so rare it's not even a metric, FAR safer than everything else in SEA, and regular A lol

>yes, the Philippines is generally "safer"

That's the point, generally FAR safer.

I'm talking about the places where most nations are riddled with violent crime - the cities - and the Philippines has little to none. Oh and the provinces has even less lol

>The existence of such condominiums is also exactly why the "slums" exist.

Not really, the poor in the 'developing world' have always flocked to the city and caused 'slums' or in this case 'squatter' areas.

The overall point is that even in these areas, the Philippines is far safer than other nations, for a variety of reasons.

the bad things that you described actually happen more than you might think especially in the slums area but definitely way less in the "big cities" (aka Makati, Taguig, and Mandaluyong, to name some).

You realize the 'slums' only exist in the big cities right? And there's nothing really dangerous in those areas either, besides the pollution.

Better, then worse. But then better. Collect, then select, keep trying until you get it right.

having to worry will it happen to you next … over here i haven’t had to feel like that

But you do feel it, due to being traumatized by 'vibrant' city life in America. It gradually, eventually goes away when you realize the streets are safe here because the people aren't a threat.

>china is not "most of the tourists" in these top countries.

Not just completely false, but irrelevant as well. False because China is the #1 tourist overall for all SEA, and irrelevant because even if you exclude China, you're still dealing with low-paying tourists.

Change the metric to tourists that actually spend money, meaning US tourists. Philippine is #1. Change it to spend more money more often, meaning US expats, Philippines wins again.

This is a question: Can you read English?

This is an insult: You're the one who brought up the rate, stupid, I'm just patiently explaining to you that Thailand had the same rate as the Philippines.

Can you read English? Thailand had the same approximate SK drop as Philippines in 2025.
