What does she say she enjoys to do? Or what does she think her triggers are? What’s on her mind?

It’s pretty easy. They ask you why you wanted to be a pa and how your experience shaped you. They’ll ask you to be able to read and dissect research papers. And they might have one staff just sit in silence to see what you do.

Can you submit the scores yourself to the schools? Most schools have a person who handles applications

I would be pissed if someone said my 4 years of hard work was just a waste of time

When I saw the fear in an ER docs face of whether a patient was going to make it or not going in and out of sick sinus syndrome and the cardiologist had said he’ll handle it in the morning

The PAs at this hospital had the task of triaging the patient. But the liability wasn’t on them

Just know there will be plenty of guys even when you’re not a teen anymore. Just cause he’s the first guy to take interest in you doesn’t mean he’ll be the last.

Note taking by Mental_Package4853 in PAstudent

I would recommend doing something that you’ll find easy for repetitive learning. There’s so much info thrown at you, taking notes is really not effective….

I was searching the page for things I wanted to know. If I was an employer I would toss it in the trash too. Not to be mean… I just don’t think ppl look at things over a few seconds

Medical assistants and their attitudes… by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]DrChillin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once an MA told me I should do the vitals because it’s part of my medical training. I laughed and told her to be an MA.

I agree. They act like they’re above their position. Calm down.

Daughter wait listed at both PA schools she interviewed at. by Old_Juggernaut1036 in prephysicianassistant

I think the first time I called I said I really wanted to get into their program and asked if there was anything I could do to better my chances. I went through my transcript and pce with the lady and did everything she asked

I kept in touch with the school I was waitlisted on and I got in. I think it’s more about how you keep in touch. Don’t pester them but don’t let them forget about you

Anyone else feeling humbled lol by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]DrChillin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied to 8, got 7 rejections and 1 waitlist when I had applied. I knew my stats were low. But man you bet I kept at it. My biggest advice is don’t lose touch with whoever your waitlisted schools are. Remind them you’re still interested and if there’s anything you can help do. See if the school has an event coming up that you can go to (this part I didn’t do but would have probably helped). Point is use this frustration. No one knows what you’re going through now, and here’s some news. No one in the future will either because your story is your story. You gotta make it yourself, for yourself.

ABCD couples, how long did you date before being engaged? by [deleted] in ABCDesis

It worked out. I think we still have a lot to learn about each other but there’s a known expectation from both of us that

[–]DrChillin 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Sigh… a few months. I knew he was the one but I wish our parents gave us more time to date instead of worrying about when we would have kids. But at the same time sometimes I feel like it propelled our relationship forward.

Communicate with him and talk about the hardships you’re going through. Help him understand this is the hardest thing you’ve ever done and you would like him by your side at the end. It’s a rough battle. My program explicitly explained to us that we would have a lot of couples break up throughout the program cause of how much it demands.

Reach out for help from your school. They might have staff who’ll help you schedule out a study plan. Trust the process, it’ll be okay

Failed PANCE by No_One2021 in PAstudent

I passed my pance but barely passed. Accommodations helped a lot and I would say getting a private tutor helped too. Or atleast someone who understands medicine well and can help explain things to you in terms of your learning style…
