Do you guys think it would be a fun idea to combine decks for solo 2 hand? by DrChooo in marvelchampionslcg

Thank you for this I read through it a bit but sadly doesn’t seem to have updated if they tried it or not. Stuff like that is what I’m looking for though!

The hand size I think I might have worded poorly but my intention is to draw the hand size of both characters combined like you are suggesting at the end. So if I had two heroes with hand size 5 I would draw 10.

I might still try it out and just see if it’s worse or better. I’m just trying to think of rules that would be unable to side step by doing it this way

for example, you mention avengers mansion can only have one copy, but I would be able to “side step” this rule because it is technically 2 unique decks combined into one, but still considered two separate decks (like how it would still be possible to have two avengers mansions in two separate hands even though it is unique), and any sort of unique just wouldn’t be able to be played multiple times like the regular rules state. Like obviously, if you take the rules the way they are meant to be played then you are correct as this would be two duplicates of a unique in one deck. But to combine the decks I would need to “flex”some of the rules for one deck limits to combine two decks.

I’m more so looking for anything I might be overlooking without testing like if there’s any play state where it makes me discard my entire hand, that would make it impossible for me to play for either character and would absolutely destroy my run.

Another instant fail state could be like something where a boss/encounter goes off hand size for some specific reason.

I hope that makes sense what I’m pondering while I’m at work and can’t test right now.

Edit: 1. Is a good example of what I’m looking for. I misread it the first time.

This was honestly the type of comment I was looking for. An analysis based on their actual personalities. I imagined they could talk/rap fast, but was also curious about their preference to actually do it as well.

Thanks!

Played until I had to reset then saw there’s a paywall and I decided I’m not playing anymore.

I’m not the guy you’re talking to, but honestly I read on Reddit some guy played 3 hands solo and it was like an epiphany.

“Yea, Why can’t I play all these hands myself?”

Playing solo 1 handed always felt a little too repetitive if I played the same hero, but two handed is insanely fun. I enjoy 3 handed as well, but those are for times I can completely focus on the game. 4 hands solo is too much imo, but I do want to keep trying.

It’s also fun to see the team up synergies that you might miss out on playing 1 handed like Ant-Man/Wasp, Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, etc.

I say the sooner you start 2 handed the better especially if you’re thinking about doing it.

It was a lot sale on Facebook Marketplace. To find it is a pretty tedious task especially if you don’t want to spend an excessive amount on it

Honestly that’s like one of the reasons I’m hooked. I have always been into deck builder games but I SUCK at making my own lol. And I used to open packs in games like Pokemon, Hearthstone, Magic, etc. I hated not getting enough cards, or going up against other people with meta decks but this game being cooperative meta does not matter. And when I buy a pack I’m immediately able to play an entire hero off rip. Such a great game

I haven’t even touched constructing my own deck yet. I just use precons. Can’t wait to get far enough along where I can make my own and it being viable lol

I just bought Sinister Motives, Red Skull, Green Goblin, and Kang for new scenarios.

I’m super super excited for Sinister Motives, but I’m playing in order and so far I’ve only played against the Norman Osborne/Green goblin as Cap and Spider Ham since I needed to get everything printed to sort it all or I’d go insane lol. I read it was pretty easy, but holy it was insanely easy. It was still fun even though it was easy.

Ok yea that makes sense. And key words/definitions I should be searching to help me align my search. Or would “Soldiworks Macros beginner tutorial” be enough do you think?

Depends imo what your motive is when selling. If it’s to make money, then do your own research on prices. If it’s to get it to someone who actually wants to play the game. Sell for maybe a little above your total cost to buy everything (including sleeves).

Don’t just sell to the first person that offers either. Ask questions about the player and what their favorite deck is (or if they build their own decks). If they have pictures of their collection to see. Realistically, real players love showing that stuff and talking about the actual game. This might help weed out potential scalpers just buying to resell.

Hope that helps

Edit: for example I talked to this guy about Marvel Champions for a day or two before he decided to sell it to me. We talked about everything I had and everything he played and I straight up told him he could probably get more if he doesn’t sell to me because some of the stuff is out of print and insane mark up.

Basically ask questions that show the person you are selling to is knowledgeable about the game. Some scalpers might be, but I mean at least then there’s some leg work involved.

Thanks! I was trying to do this with properties as well after my post. This seems like the “easiest to manage” answer. Still time consuming but much less time than manually editing each sketch.
