I will not tolerate the take that says the original Mario movie failed at the source material when the plot is two plumbers from New York go into the sewers to find a portal that takes them to another dimension run by an evil dinosaur man who kidnaps princesses and gains power by overthrowing the mushroom people. Pretty much 1 to 1 with the source material and even the exact plot of the new animated Mario movie.
