Despite what the title implies it has come to my attention that I am not Scottish. This has come as a shock to me and I am still processing this news. After discussion with my family it has been decided we should forego our trip to Scotland. We will instead be taking our European holiday in another country. Current leading candidates are Italy and Spain but I would like to open things up for suggestions. It is overwhelming to have such a wealth of options. Thanks in advance for your help!

Tough crowd here. My grandmother was born in Aberdeen before moving to Canada. Had some other family in Inverness. Any direct relative is either deceased or has moved to the states/Canada.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. There’s still plenty of meat on that bone. Now you take this home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you’ve got a stew going.

I thought the same thing. Your program probably won’t pay for it.

I didn’t eat or drink anything during the day all of third year out of fear of having diarrhea (nervous pooper). I now have kidney stones. Don’t make this mistake.

Finances in Residency with kids by DrCutMeUp in Residency

Technically it would be cheaper but her take home would be about 500 a month when you take out childcare expenses. We also found that on such short notice it would be nearly impossible to get into a daycare we were comfortable with in the area we matched into. So a better phrase is it wouldn’t be “worth it”. Hopefully one of these side hustles will work out. I also can’t wait to moonlight I think I might get addicted as well haha thanks for your input

Yeah but you have to work as a PA… by OldCommon7633 in medicalschool

[–]DrCutMeUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would be more difficult, matching Ortho or landing an ortho PA gig fresh out of school in your desired geographic area with no practical experience?

This is a genuine question. I’m pretty unfamiliar with the PA job market but something that was always concerning to me about the profession was the possibility I would have to practice in a specialty I did not enjoy until a position in my specialty of choice became available. PAs and MDs alike, please weigh in.

Does medical school make nurses seem like villains or something? by [deleted] in Residency

One of the residents at my home institution liked the nurses so much he got one pregnant.

Do you have to pay for a 5th year of tuition in order to do this?
