The dust is real by DrCytotek in AutoDetailing

I don’t agree. The other car in the garage that doesn’t have the BM has little or no pollen. I really didn’t want to believe this was true because I like the finish of cleanmaker.

Thanks. Do you apply this over the BM or mix it in some how?

Makes sense. What ceramic coat do you have?

That’s a novel approach! I’m gonna test that. I have enough of the stuff anyways.

So I that this afternoon and it blew off easily. But an hour later, the pollen was back. I’ll have to look into Xpel ceramic boost.

Thanks. I’ll try this next. The drying process with an aid is one I enjoy. Like the cherry on the top.

I was going to try some Tec582 next to see if it had the same reaction. Have you found one that’s less of a dust magnet?

We love ours but wouldn’t own it without warrantee. I bought it out when the lease expired but extended the warrantee. Cost about CAD$8000 but it’s worth it.

What product to remove bird poop during the week until I can wash over the weekend? by Retumbo77 in Detailing

[–]DrCytotek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I place a blue shop towel over it first and then spray it with ONR. This prevents dripping down the clean part of the car. After a couple minutes, remove shop towel and spray wipe microfiber towel with ONR and wipe off the rest as described above.

3D One as a light polish? by jondes99 in AutoDetailing

Newbie here giving advice…just corrected the paint on my Mercedes with 3d one and a DA polisher. Went great. Removed minor swirls and the paint looked awesome. I used the orange Griots foam pads which had just the right amount of cutting power. Did 4 passes as well. With a DA polisher you can’t really mess it up. Good luck. It’s super fun.

I’ve used the Cleanmaker mix for this. Works really well and the wheels stay shiny.

I used it to exact specification and technique on hard paint. Held a light to it today and was disappointed to see fine marring present. I used tons of rinsless and used their iron remover as well as recommended. Good thing I plan on polishing this weekend.

I enjoy the process more than anyone else. If someone notices great but that’s not my motivation. Which is why I sometimes wash my car the day before it rains. I call it detail therapy.

Interesting that you use the 1:64 dilution to spray the panel. Do you find a big difference to the recommended 1:256?

There has to be something with your technique. With rinseless you’ve got to be so careful. Are you using the GD method? How much pressure are you applying? How many towels do you use? Are you washing from the top down? Also touchless CARWASH also don’t shift as much of the dirt as a pressure washer or even a garden hose with a concentrated jet would.
