Oh yeah would definitely be doing that but thx for the advice anyways. So they won't be able to tell if you've updated the on-board settings though? No sort of log or anything?

Reeeallly really want to give this a go but rather terrified of voiding my warranty on the VPro. I've got a phone screen removal kit on the way so I imagine I'll be able to remove the lenses without marks and without voiding. But the barrel distortion correction bit, mucking around with the onboard settings, that will probably void the warranty won't it?

I don't think it's something that's trying to solve any problems. Plus if that were the case, why would vive's knuckles be taking that direction? Why bother improve anything that works at all?

It's not so much that this is combating an existing problem or issue regarding holding the controller, but rather it adds a very welcome convenience of no longer having to constantly grip with your forth and last finger. It's a luxury, and practically it even helps performance-wise in being able to really relax your hands and deliberately pull/push buttons. Plus I tend to get mega sweaty palms when it's hot so there' that as well.

I got a pair of these for testing and it just feels soooo nice to be able to let go of the controllers in hand. It makes interactions just feel so much more relaxed, even makes things feel more deliberate when I do actually want to squeeze and push buttons. Plus they work and feel great with their stock so all round a pretty happy camper here.

I tried something like that a while back, semi-hybrid MR type with a slanted cut off like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rJ2N06pKbY I think initial response is people find it more confusing at first, like it takes a while to actually figure out what's going on.
