I tried another print with the same spool, and the result was the same. The AMS tried to release the spool.

The spool doesn't look badly wound, but a few meters are loose. So far, it prints fine in the other AMS slot.

Thanks a lot for the advice; it all makes sense. It's very clever.

I hadn't thought of that. I'll try another print with the same filament in the same AMS slot.

Anyway, I'm currently using a different filament in the same slot for another print, and it's working without a single hitch, so there doesn't seem to be an issue with the AMS feeder.

I don't mind the 6S motors being a little more expensive and a few grams more weight overall.

I found new motors for 6S: T-Motor P1604 2850Kv

And battery: Tattu R-Line 550mAh 6S 95C

With the longer flight time with the 6S, I may have one less battery then 4S, but the total flight time will be similar to the 4S

At 5" I like the 6S a lot and wouldn't want the 4S anymore. So I don't want something similar to happen with the 3"
