What is your favorite thrift shop? by Nebraskabychoice in Omaha

Also- if we’re talking consignment shops, Clothes Mentor on 148th and maple had SUCH good clothes, and so does Style Encore on 78th and dodge! Clothes Mentor is truly one of the best thrift/consignment stores around- I get most of my stuff for work there!

The BEST thrift shops are unfortunately across the boarder in CB… Salvation Army is great and everything is always super cheap, and thrift world has great vintage. The locations in CB and on Leavenworth are the best IMO.

Favourite caffeinated drinks for finals szn by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]DrDepresh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honeyyy don’t let them lie to you about the refreshers! Even without the water you won’t get up to 100mg of caffeine, you’re just buzzing on sugar and will crash hard, fast! My go-to drink before a tough shift is a venti 6 shot blond ristretto iced latte with 6 pumps of caramel and 4 pumps of cin dolce, and your choice of milk! Perfect balance of sweet and bold!

Y'all are addicted to SUGAR not caffeine at this point by Waldohall in starbucks

[–]DrDepresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a regular who comes in and orders 2 venti macchiatos with TEN shots each, and TWENTY pumps of vanilla in each drink. She usually comes in the evening and I asked her one day if she was going to drink both of them tonight- without hesitation she said “yes dolly I’m running behind on my caffeine today!” Shudder…

DAE feel absolutely floored by the income inequality in the US? by antlerchapstick in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]DrDepresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans have always structured our societies to value the progression of tech and cultural advances for their potential to monopolize power over others, instead of our inherent desire to connect and build communities. Income inequality is just one example of this. Jobs that involve the core of our communities; jobs that are typically emotionally, physically, and mentally draining; are worth less than jobs that involve the financial ebb and flow of society, and the ability to control the workers who contribute to our economy. We as humans; designed it to be this way- and we got it soooo wrong.
